The Diamond DA40 Diamond Star, a sophisticated aircraft from Austria, features a single engine and four seats, all encased in lightweight composite materials. Evolving from the DA20, this aircraft is a creation of the esteemed Diamond Aircraft Industries, produced in both Austria and Canada.
The Diamond DA40 NG Diamond Star is a modern and efficient aircraft that is a popular choice among pilots and flight schools. Known for its sleek design and advanced technology, this aircraft is often referred to as the "Pilot's Dream" due to its ease of handling and impressive performance.
Powered by a single Austro Engine AE300 turbocharged diesel engine, the DA40 NG offers excellent fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, making it an environmentally friendly option for pilots. With a cruising speed of around 145 knots and a range of approximately 720 nautical miles, this aircraft is perfect for both short training flights and longer cross-country journeys.

Matt my good friend , great catch on a beautiful day & on the scenery , nice landing & dead center on the the runway. Were you film this on board or did someone film this for you ? Just curious, God Bless you & D from T & I , rare for me to get some spare time to post , let alone watch videos , but I just need to decompress for a couple of days. Thank you for the Blessing and kind words , this was truly a great scenic view, God Bless you & D from T & I , church at 11: 30 a.m. , must depart now. btw , it is great to have good friends like that because I would not let just anybody fly with me in the cockpit years ago in that position if I did not fully trust that person, I think you know what I mean with having to focus/concentrate on business at hand with landing .
Awesome. Is it normal for that airplane to have the stall warning when you are doing a normal approach? When I was doing a normal approach with a Cessna, there is no stall warning except if you place the nose airplane too high. Great approach and nice view👍
Thank you for your comment and observation! Hearing the stall horn on a small aircraft while flaring is actually a good thing. It's a warning indicator that the aircraft is approaching its critical angle of attack and is about to stall. It's important for pilots to be aware of this so they can adjust their pitch and airspeed to prevent a stall and execute a smooth landing. So, in this case, hearing the stall horn is a helpful reminder to make the necessary adjustments for a safe landing.
