If there was a video on how to help a stinging bee dislodge itself from the sting site and keep its stinger to live another day, that would be cool. I stepped on a bumble bee by accident when I was little. Knowing now the bumble bee died from loosing its stinger saddens me. 🥺

The crazy part is the venom sac is still squeezing and pumping more venom through the stinger even after the bee leaves it behind. You can see it here if you look real closely.

I've seen videos where the bees did this little circle dance and were able to ease the stinger out of the skin and fly away unharmed. Too bad this little one was a bit too stressed to do it all the way this time.
Stingers are usually meant for similar sized insects, but human skin is so thick that they can't retract their stingers. So to get off, they oftentimes end up ripping a part of themselves off.

You shouldn't use tweezers because it squirts more venom into you, flick it out with a credit card.
@@sourlemon6612 that’s a great tip! Very true fact. We normally use our fingernail to scrape off or our “hive tool” which is a flat bar that we also use to scrape off stingers if we get stung. Thanks for sharing that tip, most people don’t know that
