It's not fair for gymnasts like Simone Biles who competes super hard routines compared to the gymnasts who compete super clean but with lesser difficulty. That's why they changed it.
Well then gymnast would perform super easy vaults to avoid any mistake. Doing Amanars and Chengs would give the gymnast more room for deductions. So it's better not to bring the old scoring system back.
Love that you put this into video. I can read the code of points all I want, but visual representation make it so much easier to truly understand!

@Sally Vee Can't really say it is a downgrade when every vault's start value is adjusted lower... still the most difficult vault for women.
