- I started working on this natural fiber art doll back in late 2022. She is made in my "figlette" style, a doll pattern I designed in 2011 and one that I have modified extensively over these many years. Wonderful watching with my 8yr old daughter. Who is relieved that adults make and play with dolls no matter their age.
Oh yes, and we also do puzzles, paint and enjoy the outdoors. Life gets fun when you are older, just a little bit different. Glad to hear we appeased her concerns 😉

Yes I did Joanne! Like I mentioned in the video, I repurposed fabrics and used some new ones for all her wee clothes.

hi! I’m following your tutorial and have all the materials, i was wondering for the base of the head do you use a styrofoam sphere to make the head so round at first? Or what do u use to fill the base head before soft sculpting? Thank you beautiful work💕
If you are following any tutorial of mine you will see I roll wool tightly. I do not use styrofoam inside the doll. They are all wool. The face is completely felted before I cover it in skin fabric.

I shape them with wool that I felt with needle felting needles. It takes ages.
