I cry every time I hear this song. How to cross the abyss of ego-centric isolation and defeat the myth of separateness? I love this video as much as anything in this world.🙏❤🕊
Glad I'm not the only that gets these feelings from this incredible piece of art! I seriously have never been able to hear this without singing along and tearing up with absolute pure joy! Makes me want to radiate love
Peter Rowan is a priceless treasure. He is one of only a few "outsiders" who were ever invited to join the great Ralph Stanley's group. Rowan wrote "Keepin' it between the lines" as tribute to those days.
I discovered Yunchen Lhamo in Nepal for the first time in 2005. I heard a chant from her and decided to learn the lyrics. When I asked my friend to tell me what was in the lyrics, he replied : "Om Mani Padme Hum"...I thought he was jokking so I asked again what she was singing all along...he replied again : only "Om Mani Padme Hum..." It deeply touched me and since then I learned it and it became my mantra by chance, as I could never stop singing it... To hear her singing with Peter Rowan is such a beautiful surprise...I could listen to your music until I die...it soothes the soul...thank you...💞
I could listen to this all day .. the view I have to say adds so much to the ambience of the song .. but the song itself is just so beautiful .. and the vocals of Yungchen Lhamo is magical
No Sir. You are not alone. This one brought tears to my eyes, and then some. Simple, easy listening and Yungchen Lhamo's voice adds a certain mystique and absolute beauty to an already beautiful tune.
@@alanpreston4324 so happy to hear that mate! Glad to know there's still music and musicians like this still doing their thing and touching people like us!
I probably have half of the views for this video. This is so nice, refreshing, and soulful. What a treat. Can't wait to see Mando Orange in NYC in a couple weeks!
What a great, wonderfully strange snapshot...I kept half-expecting to see Peter Rowan tumbling over backwards down the mountain...Mandolin Orange as sidemen and ethereal Yungchen Lhamo!
Me too I thought he was toast a couple of times. That said his beauty is so bright that he can still shine with beauty all around him. And he had that here for sure. Touching. Thanks for the video.
geesh haha I would love to have been there ( how about you?? :) ) but this is just as good, dschram1 thank you :) and thank you to Peter Rowan & Yungchen Lhamo & Mandolin Orange
Hello... What a wonderful song this is! Does anyone happen to know if this is an actual song you can buy in iTunes, who wrote it, or if there's any other way to listen? I've looked everywhere but it seems this video is the only place where the song exists! :(
I feel like dan schram sings straight to me. Why?? Did I fail in some sort if way? My heart is good...my environment not my home but everything around me...feels evil. Help me understand. I feel dan schram

exactly. Every year or so, I rediscover this for myself, and when Yungchen first starts up I'm sure to cry. It's a beautiful piece of humanity here.
Wow! Not many step outside the box like Peter. And when he does, magic happens. His music is definitely the international language.
Peter Rowan brings creates magic pixie dust moments like this every performance. I want to be his best friend.
YESSsss. Me too. Such a talented man and performer. I have appreciated him a very long time

+westernartglass Ha ha! I had the same fear, that he was going to lose his balance and away he'd go, down the mountain!
Me too I thought he was toast a couple of times. That said his beauty is so bright that he can still shine with beauty all around him. And he had that here for sure. Touching. Thanks for the video.

I can see she's Asian but man, if I close my eyes and listen, this evokes Native American imagery.

WHo wrote this song?
Tries to have pretty scenery up in mountains
Has crowded parking lot In background
Tries to prove he has keen powers of observation (Yeah, you buddy!)
Look up Merlefest sometime. This is up on the hill where the artists stay in RV's. Awesome song and location ♥

Is she Tibetan or Vietnamese? Or neither?
+alan4sure Tibetan
Yungchen is Tibetan
the most least annoying mandolin player...

Yungchen's awkward and can't blend in.
