Thanks. 😊 Ive been to a few last year with my airguns. Also have a few friends with large land plots. But its winter now. Im mostly shooting Co2 guns in the basement at 10-15 meters. Been doing that since the Pandemic, was nothing to do.

I agree with the folks out at my range they are very supportive. If in doubt ask, they woyld rather you ask then do the wrong thing. Enjoy your time on the range. The one i see all the time is people touching guns or ammunition during ceasefires.

In Australia, an unlicenced shooter must be under personal supervision of a licenced shooter. If possible, organise for an appropriate person to be with you before arriving at the range. If you do not know someone with a firearms licence, visit the range and talk to the Range Officer to organise your first shoot. Most ranges have a club with a phone number you can ring to talk to someone who will guide you and make your experience a positive one.
Some Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) branches run a try out day.

First timers should be happy just to get shots on paper. Do not expect or worry about getting the bullseye. Close is good. No-one is a first-class shooter the first time they shoot. It takes practice, understanding of the principles, and time to develop your skill.

Absolutely correct is actually a skill they can take a lifetime to develop
