At the range I shoot at, we use individual targets which are shot 5 times, and we shoot a total of 5 targets giving us a maximum score possible of 250. My best score was 250 with 11 centres. That day I, shooting in hunter class, outscored the Target class by 1 centre. Having the fancy target rifle and equipment usually results in more consistent results but is no guarantee of the best scores. Because the club is small, we shoot side by side. Therefore, it is a true comparison of scores. We all have a great time and lots of fun and banter.

I believe it's 50 metres and 100 yards. No idea why just how SSAA do it.

Well i bought a cz 457 which prints holes at 50 and im minus an inch at 100. But its 16 inch barrel. Shame

I had a 1st gen Argos BTR for a few years. Loved the scope, but one day I turned the zoom, and the reticle started turning, too! But Athlon has a great warranty. I sent in the scope, and they sent me a brand new gen 2. I haven't used the new one yet, tho. I'm still putting together the rifle that I will pair with it. Keep up the good work!

Alan, why are all the shooters on the score card listed as "Old"? What does that mean?

What challenge is this?

I'm new to all of this, so please forgive my ignorance! Q1) Why are you not holding center of your target? I've heard of shooting out the aimpoint. But, you're only putting five rounds into each one. So, I'm not sure that's a problem. Q2) Why don't you hold the same place every time? You seem (to me) to be trying to get good groups and changing the point of aim would detract from that. Wouldn't it? Am I missing something? PS: I've learned a lot from your videos. Keep up the good work!

Full relaxation behind your rifle takes at least 5 minutes. That in itself will halve your group size. The platform you shoot off should be "dead", devoid of vibration. So no truck bonnet, wood pallet, or plastic fold out table. I love to get perfect zero with a tested ammo on a calm day/perfect conditions. Then take notes. From then on any shifts are the conditions of the day to work to, with a reliable reference for the use of. Each time out builds a practical history to further build the practical picture for future reference. Ha ho, all good fun.

Lapua Polar Biathlon is my choice for P94S. I have P94S Range and it is exceptionally a tack driver. Best 5 rnd to 100m 21mm. I have modded the rifle too it has gen1 Sako TRG trigger assembly and I just love it.

I didn't know my licence had expired, that was several years ago. I was told that I have to do everything again! I haven't ever done anything wrong, and I was wondering lately if I could get my A and B licence back. I only want to target shoot at my local range. i probably missed it, but what distance are these competitions? I'm gonna guess either 50 or 100 yards? I've only been shooting non-competitive 100 yard with my .308 M1A, a bit more pricey to run but having fun. Lots of 22LR shooters out there, definitely a less expensive way to go. Great shooting btw (i hate you... lol)...

Try a better scope with ED glass like Sightron S8 or March X Highmaster. I did the change and the difference is abismal.

You're on the right path using CCI SV. Getting a 1.0 at 125 is good shooting! Another decent ammo that won't break the bank is SK Standard Plus. The first good ammo I'd ever shot. Changed my way of thinking about ammo!

Looks like an awesome day of shooting! My best was a 1/4in with SK Rifle Match. I'm not sure what that equals center to center the only problem is the next group opened back up to about 1in. Either me or the ammo wasn't too consistent that day!😅
