I wouldn't mind a separate video on how to use Freeform. Not a video going through the commands, etc (there are a lot of those on RUclips), but a video on use cases like how you brainstorm with the app.
id 2nd that. Also being a solo WFH professional, historically coming form windows I used trello but im trying in 2025 to focus on using native MacOS apps to increase my productivity and keeps things linked together. for example im just starting to use apple notes / reminders & calendar so adding freeform would be of interest to me.
Dude. Poolsuite was an instant grab. Curious about Alcove though. How does it handle itself when your macbook is plugged into an external monitor? I love the look of it but I'm docked like 90% of the time.
I've watched a mountain of this type of video and this is the first one I've watched where I'd never heard of ANY of the non-Apple apps. Super helpful, thank you for putting it together. Alcove is a little gem. ☺ Except the 'fox of course - kudos on the sponsorship Tom!
@ByteReview btw if you wanna try theres this new browser called zen, its similar to arc but in the firefox engine, its still in beta but its already looking great!
Hey man. My comments appear to be getting automatically hidden on your channel, if you wouldn’t mind looking into that. Tried interacting with 2 comments on this video and both times my reply has been sent straight to comment purgatory.
@@ByteReview cheers man. One of them was replying to someone about Arc, and one of them was replying to another user and yourself talking about Firefox.
Arc is just yet another chromium browser, the company behind it is pretty sketchy as well and seems to exist purely to secure VC funding. Floorp is a Firefox-based browser that’s worth a look if you like Arc, there are loads of Arc-style customisations available for it, plus you get the benefit of Firefox’s security features, etc.
Woah I never thought Firefox would ever sponsored creators.
That's nice ✌🏻

fr man, i tried to use it for studies but found it extremely time consuming

Interesting, I think I could make something around it but I'd worry I'd leave so much out as i use it alone?
@@ByteReview I don't think you would have to cover everything, just how you use it.

You can choose to have it on or off in settings, if you want it’ll do a fake notch but u just have it off when docked!
dropover is one of the first apps on mac i bought that i never thought i would ever need but cant live without after using it :D
Yesss so good
I look forward to your videos, always full of information. Thank you, this one is really good
Glad you liked it!
Some great tips. Thanks for pulling them all together for us.
You're welcome!

glad it was useful, thanks for watching dude!
nice video quality
Does the Dynamic Island app still show the overlay in games?
yep, only when you activate it though
What app did you use to record your Mac screen and edit it?
CleanShotX and final cut for all my video editing
You gotta use Raycast! Can replace several of these
I did see this in my research for this video! Will give it a go soon, seems great!
Perfect timing I just bought the new M4 yesterday 😂
Some good finds! Curious about what apps you use for screen recording and your talking head video?
CleanShot for recording my screen (which is awesome btw) and for recording myself I used my normal Sony Camera I use for all A roll (FX3)
Damn thata the first time i see firefox sponsoring creators. Tbh, thats really good since i prefer it to chromium based browsers
I hear this a lot from people online!
@ByteReview btw if you wanna try theres this new browser called zen, its similar to arc but in the firefox engine, its still in beta but its already looking great!
@@ByteReview literally every other browser out there is chromium-based. Firefox is the last hold out against the total Google-ification of everything.
You should try making a video on homebrew and its assets.
Video on everything I have on my mac
11:53 Bad opinion alert!!!
Jokes aside, great video as always
haha do people prefer it the other way!?
@@ByteReview Yaha
I love the box frame you used for your talking head space, how did you create that?
Made it in photoshop, it's part of my brand assets so it was easy enough to make :)

And this one seems to have stayed up. No idea what’s going on.
Oh that’s so strange! Let me take a look
@@ByteReview cheers man. One of them was replying to someone about Arc, and one of them was replying to another user and yourself talking about Firefox.
Did you change frame rates?! Looks like 60 fps instead of 24!?
Only for this video! Back to 24fps for the next videos
Later app is not opening tho
I am not sure about 60fps 🤔, feels weird to me.
only done as the screen recording was in 60! Back to normal for the next video :)
iphone mirroring is not available in my region, says it
Oh that’s sad, I wonder if it’s bundled with Apple intelligence and that’s why it’s not in some places 😭
Yes. I guess the EU. We might get it in April, along with AI.
About the Browser: since switching to ARC, I feel productive and less distracted.

Try Zen browser
I tried Arc a couple times but it just feels so strange to get used to so I switched away again, I hear it's great though
poolsuits also a nft lol
Oh man is it?! Ugh please don't into that rubbish, it's gone down in my books now
@@ByteReview Yeah I put poolsuite into google and poolsuit nft came up with one of the searches lol
i love your channel ❤️ Hello from Ukraine 🇺🇦
What?
Mac doesn't have "cut"?
Of course it does
@@ByteReview Why do you need drop over then?
In windows I can just ctrl + X any files I want and paste them wherever I like
@@omarashraf27 Because it does more than ctrl x as mentioned - you don't have to get it though haha
Most of these are built in features. this is not what i came here for
