    Hi There! I"m an old school autoelectrician outta Sweden who's been struggeling to function in my trade using outdated methods! When I inherited some money after my beloved mother I bought an autel maxi-sys ultra with a 4 channel scope, only to realize that I don't come close to using the full potential of my investment, I then came across your excellent videos and now I'm being promoted at work and my selfesteem is at an all time high! Thank You for sharing your knowledge!

    Hi, thanks for the info, and wondering if you could show the connection between the oscilloscope and the sensors

  • @rusty1187
    @rusty1187 Год назад +1

    i would say top waveform is cylinder pressure, and bottom waveform is current draw on the starter.

  • @thebluelunarmonkey
    @thebluelunarmonkey 9 месяцев назад

    no fair. I was thinking automotive. Since you said the 2 waveforms were a problem, I was thinking no start condition from misaligned distributor on older car - bottom was clamp meter on battery for starter current and top was the primary voltage on ignition coil (single coil) with bounciness showing the voltage of collapsing EM field and that coil was firing when distributor rotor button was halfway between electrodes, so no spark delivered. I was way off.

    Relative compression and crank or can sensor

    But that would be the older ocilliscoppe?

    Looks like either a coil or injector firing waveform.

    Snap on allows to choose between time per division and time per screen......

    • @MasterAutomotiveTraining
      @MasterAutomotiveTraining  Год назад +2

      It sure can, I’ve mostly seen them come in per screen. I set ours up to per/division so it flows like my other scopes.

      Do you recommend Pico 2204A, 2 channel, to start off? Price is 165 in amazon.

    • @MasterAutomotiveTraining
      @MasterAutomotiveTraining  Год назад +2

      As a Pico distributor the short answer is no. A 2000 series Pico scope was not made for automotive use, using it on a car will void warranty and anything above 20v will kill the scope. I’d recommend a 4425 Pico or a Micsig SATO1004
