The Jets remaining schedule: Dolphins, Falcons, Texans, @ Dolphins, Commanders, @ Browns, @ Patriots. This is not an easy schedule because I think the Jets would be underdogs in two games against dolphins, and games against texans, browns and patriots. So if the Jets are 6-9 by week 16, there's no chance Rodgers should come back whatsoever.
The Jets need a premium backup and not bottom 10 backup that cannot score 10 points in a lot of games, Rogers probably will not be close to great or be in all the games. I see next year them being 3-3 and Rogers injured, with Rogers on his last year and no backup to win games, they may be tanking after the coach gets fired. They have no cap to resign their defense early, it is 2 more years for their tank QB to be good, their defense will be tuned over and probably middle of the pack by then.
