Madcat: I am really new to playing harmonica, but I decided to start with the best, so I bought Seydels. This one really intrigued me, so I just ordered one today in "C". Thanks for the great review and if I can ever get to the level where I play 1/10th as well as you, I will be very happy. Cheers.
I listened to your review and I bought me one in C. It really plays great. By the way: since about six years I use the Shaker Madcat micr with great pleasure. So you have really inspired me.
One thing with Seydel Stainless Steel reeds to me seem to handle Time for longer periods in other words last longer and is not affected by Temperature Variations as much as other reeds , now that is within reason , I am sure 100 below 0 and 150 above 32 degrees above Fahrenheit would do any harmonica reeds in and extremes like that would do in a lot things .
I've been playing Seydel 1847 harps since they first came out... love them... just bought a Seydel 1847 Lightning in the key of G to try out... WOW ! It really is an awesome harp ! I may have to start wearing suspenders along with my belt if I plan on carrying a couple in my pants pockets ! Suckers are heavy !
I started with a 1847 before silver was available, on amazon, bought 1 love it. I thought I blew out a reed put it in a box for a yr or 2 now it works fine again!💀Not saying itw ill for everybody but it did for me. I bought 2 L-tuned Session Steels. Still good after 5 yrs. 👍I wonder why Stainless had to wait for Seydel?
Polishing a reed removes the milling marks when the sheet of brass is made and the reeds are cut out of it... this helps eliminate reeds fracturing at these milling marks... the smoothness of the reed surfaces (front and back I assume) makes the reed last longer and stay in tune.

That man can play. Don’t be deceived by his hippy appearance. Much respect for him!

Thanks for the review :-)
Cool!
What about the tone & playability compared with the Seydel Noble 1847?
@@johnnyaction750 Thanks, much appreciated.
Jst wondering what key you have and has it been altered Thank you
wanted to ask the same questions myself
Smoooooth…! ❤
Is this the heaviest Seydel diatonic harp?
Am I a harmonica player or a weight lifter?

Yeah but can it make you play better?
No instrument can make you play better, lol. That's all up to you.
Amazing harp player. He really needs to cut his fingernails though.
if it don't bother him, what's the point?
