I recently tried the Skin1004 sunscreen and finally feel that I’ve found my sunscreen. It doesn’t dry out my skin! I hope it works as well for my husband’s dry skin, because everything else he’s tried dries his skin so badly that it hurts. I’m astounded. Usually, the higher the SPF, the more problems it causes us, regardless of the type of sunscreen. That’s simply not the case with this one.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole You’re absolutely right. They have all been mineral, American sunscreens. I didn’t know that about zinc. That’s pertinent information, and it gives me hope that this will work for him.
Really love how the Skin 1004 one feels on my skin but it just breaks me out whenever i use it😭 Hope the Haru haru and some by mi one is gonna working for my skin as i need my sunscreen to be hydrating but i hate it when it's too glowy and tacky
Hi Alice! Such a fun box, especially since I’ve become a sunscreen addict!🤣 Looking forward to trying each one! Thanks for “working so hard” for us!💕☮️💜
I agree with everything you say about the Skin1004 Centella sunscreen and I also notice that it calms the background redness I have from mild rosacea and just being Fitzpatrick type I. I am also totally in love with the Haruharu wonder Black Rice Airyfit one, which I heard of from you, so thanks! I'm curious to try the Jumiso one when it's cold and dry and my skin dries out.
Skin1004 can be a little light for me, but it works AMAZINGLY as a body sunscreen that doesn’t feel like sunscreen at all! Still loving the Haruharu as well, and the jumiso I have on backstock! PS Alice- I recently got the The Lab by Blanc Doux Prebiotic Cera cream and oh. My. Goodness. Lovely texture, ingredients and it locks the hydration in! I know you’d be obsessed! I hope a the lab trial is in the future!!
I have the Mary and May multi balm and I use it specifically as an extra sunscreen around my eyes. It makes a great base for undereye concealer, it's not greasy but not drying. The problem I have is that the shape is too round, so I can't swipe directly onto the corners of my undereye near the bridge of my nose. I swirl my pinky finger around on the stick then pat the product onto the tight corners. It would be so much better if the stick were a little tear drop or wedge shape. A triangle would be even better.
Oh, thank you for that tip!! I’ll have to try it as a concealer base as I feel I can imagine that working nicely. Yeah agreed that a different shape would be more ideal; I’m perplexed by the round stick!
Stylevana does such great boxes! I'm currently using the Skin 1004 sunscreen and have given it to friends because I love it for summer, so another tube would be welcome. Not sure about the eye patches, but it's a great box at a great price!
I've only tried the skin 1004 and I really liked it! loved your first impression face on the somebymi section XD I want to try all of the others too (a bit unsure about the stick and patches though)
I just made an order on stylevanna and got the jumiso and kaine sunscreens. I'm so excited to try jumiso. I loved this video and now I want to plce another order 😅. Update on my hats, took some time but really ended up liking them. I ordered my dad one and he really likes it and says it didnt feel like he was getting hot i mention this because he's a gardener
Hallo Alice, thank you very much. Also thank you for convincing me buy DM yummy skin tinted moisturizer, you asked about the rare beauty eye brightener it is very nice. I put on under concealer and performed very well today been 12 hours very hot today and still on and looks okay.
The rabbit! You have no idea how much ive been interested in those two sunscreens especially the haruharu one because it’s lightweight- so ive heard- i get 50ml for 10 bucks unlike many others, so i can really stock up or buy two at a time
The price is amazing on it! I’ve been watching it for quite a while on these retailers, and it’s often even less than $10 🤯 I don’t know how they do it lol
HaruHaru Wonder is my HOLY GRAIL!!!! Just stocked up on some and tried some others on prime sale! My RNW was on sale!!!! I need like 20 of those 🤣🤣🤣🤍🤍🤍
Ohhh oh no really? I’ve been considering those for a while, as I did really like their mist! The price fluctuations on that brand are utterly wild though lol
@@AliceintheRabbitHole yes they are but if you buy the stylevana sets they don’t change them i think and you can get them at 20ish, i especially recommend the pink balm it’s so beautiful on the skin especially under the eyes and the cheeks
I finally got my Stylevana order, but I’m still mad at them. I figured out that if you order something out of stock, they set an arbitrary date to finish your package. In my case, the item came in long before the stated shipping date, and I had to repeatedly bug them to complete my order. Live and learn. ❤
The Skin 1004 along with the BOJ sunscreen has become my two favorites!!! Even on days where I'm not leaving the house, I apply one or the other. Any sunscreen I try and don't like for my face, I will use on my arms/legs. I would love to know if the HaruHaru one when tacky, was a good "makeup primer"?? many blessings!!!💖💖💖
Yeah, I’m in the same boat. There have been a few misses, but they’re perfect for exposed arms and legs haha! Yes, it did and does work under makeup, although I wouldn’t say it’s my absolute favorite as a primer. I do prefer the more emollient options under makeup (like BOJ)
I heard one of the Korean influencers saying the SBM spf was their new fav this year maybe Eunni or Soo beauty that and the Mary and May peptide spf and the stick. Ur makeup looks so pretty. What blush are u wearing it looks so good on u probably to light for me but looks great on u. I got the D.M tint today and the sample of the yummy skin primer 🤯 I'm in love I think it's a new fav. It is alittle light in color on me but I can still get away with it idk if I'll buy a darker shade or not.
Oh thank you, it’s the Givenchy Libre prisme blush. I love the color but honestly, the packaging is a pain. It’s the same system as their pressed powder (with the poof), but that’s just not an ideal application for …blush? It’s hard to control it 😔 So glad to hear! She did such a great job on the skin tint 🤩
@@AliceintheRabbitHole O bujee girl, it looks really nice on you .. I was eyeing those blushes but it did look like a pain. Yessssss loving the first impressions on the D.M tint , I mean I only use a tiny bit of it I'm not like other people that pile that stuff on and complain it's sticky and thick and what not because they built it up so much 🤔 it's a skin tint not a full beat foundation, I didn't even powder it and I don't find it sticky and it looks amazing .
Alice! Hi! Omg yes I love the skin1004 sun serum! Wearing it now! No breakouts! But it doesn’t work out well for deeper skin tones from what I’ve seen on Instagram reels 😬 Update! I’d like to comment as I’m watching so what you said about the stickiness is so interesting because I bought a sunscreen that everyone else said is not sticky and yet I find a sticky, so I’m definitely going to try applying my serum and no moisturizer and see what happens :) Update: it’s funny that you mention a moisturizer that’s also a sunscreen because that’s literally how Dr. Dray describes all sunscreens lol she’s always telling us that we can skip moisturizer Update: hard pass on the fragrance. I don’t necessarily mind alcohol in sunscreen, which is surprising because I have dry skin and alcohol is drying but I really don’t mind it lol but fragrance for me personally is a dealbreaker because I did get contact dermatitis after using fragrant skincare for 7 years.
Yeahhh, I’m suspecting the same thing. Glad to see newer options seem to be moving away from Tinsorb M. It’s a promising UVA blocker, but a white cast is no good!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole yes! Me too! Thankfully, I don’t have that problem because I’m a light caramel color, but anyone darker than me seems to have an issue which is a bummer! Because it’s not entirely inclusive.
Re-loving your comment because I see the updates haha. Yes try it without/with a light moisturizer! I kid you not, I was over here going “…am I crazy” (the HW was sooo sticky over my creams lol!) Now I see what was happening! And that’s so funny, I mind fragrance more than alcohol too. It definitely seems to help a LOT with the dry down of sunscreens. Function served lol. But yeah, fragrance is a no-go for some portion of the population 😔 (although side note: I am glad they aren’t trying to hide it - that is the MOST frustrating to me ugh)
Hi Alice. I have a question related to something that I've seen on Stylevana. I've noticed that some products have a "x 4ea/x2ea" marked on their pictures. What's the meaning of that? I've tried to look it up, but I didn't find an answer. I'm a new customer. Thanks in advance, and Happy Christmas! 😊
It sounds like you’re referring to their bundle deals? They sell multiples of some items at a discount (really great for stuff like sunscreen). Hope that helps!
Mary and may released the balm and a sunstick at the same time, which is questionable because they do the as the same thing, just different focus on ingredients.
Right!? It seems odd to have a regular sun stick and a …slower sun stick 🤷♀️ I saw another comment mention to use it as an eye primer, and I feel they’re onto something. It might be a balm featuring some spf moreso than a stick. Wish it was a little more clear though!
I had a sunscreen filter question for you. Have you looked into the sunscreen filter Ensulizole (phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid)? Can I just say, what a terrifying name, lol. I saw this was in some Missha sunscreen and is also in some tocobo sunscreens. A quick google says something about labeling in the US by the FDA in 1999, and calls in a common sunscreen filter. Primarily UVB, not much UVA coverag. But I havent seen much about it. So I was wondering why I dont see it around more, maybe it's formulaicly ineligant or it has to do with the poor UVA protection. I was curious if you had any thoughts on it!
Ooh good question. IIRC, it’s a fine filter to use and not inelegant, but I think it had a phase of customers being concerned about it? (Like parabens, silicones, etc). Could also be that there are plenty of UVB blockers; the UVA blockers seem to be more difficult/more prone to reactions (that’s my story with US filters, sadly!)
I have some review requests but I dont think any are Korean so Idk if you are allowed to review them anymore 😂 Im kidding ❤️ I found the Beauty of Joseon and alternate with Elta MD and think I'm set? I could get more but I still have a whole shelf of unused or once-used sunscreens from last summer. EDIT: Oh dear I might need that Jumiso one

Was he using mineral sunscreens? Zinc oxide is an astringent ingredient, and it seems to be so hard for companies to offset that drying sensation!
