@@AliceintheRabbitHole I think I can't tolerate butyloctyl salicylate, because SKIN 1004 has two physicals, one with butyloctyl salicylate and another with only zinc, or so it appears on the page. I never got a Vana box before, but I only like the Haru Haru and Make Prem sunscreens. I’m confused! Some by mi has UVA protection or not? I’m in the UK, I received it without PA data. I received different Korean sunscreens but only this one has no PA data. If it has no UVA protection, I will just throw it to bin😢
Broad spectrum means it has UVB and UVA coverage, but in the U.S., companies are not required to disclose how much UVA protection. It’s labeled for the U.S. market (interestingly), so it just says broad spectrum spf 50 Hope that helps!
Avo/oxy-benzone, sadly. It’s why I can’t use ANY western chemical sunscreens (as those are the only approved UVA filters we have in chemical options) 💔

A hug Alice and I hope you are very well 🥰
Oh the physical one! Yeah that might be a good option. Can your skin handle butyloctyl salicylate? That might widen your realm of possibilities within mineral sunscreens. Or titanium dioxide!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I think I can't tolerate butyloctyl salicylate, because SKIN 1004 has two physicals, one with butyloctyl salicylate and another with only zinc, or so it appears on the page. The funny thing about all this is that I am always talking about the importance of using sunscreen and every morning I would bathe in sunscreen and everyone would laugh at me, tell me I was exaggerating and all these jokes. A big hug Alice and it's good that spring has arrived there. A hug to Ara too 😘
I never got a Vana box before, but I only like the Haru Haru and Make Prem sunscreens. Not a fan of that sun cushion, as cushions feel unhygienic and gross to me so could never get around the whole cushion thing in Korea. Same with sticks, not a fan of the waxy feel. I really want to try the Isntree onion one and the some by me, as never heard of those before. I think I will pick them un individually instead since I dont need the sticks and cushion.
Haha ok so I’ll confess to you: I share your feelings on cushions, but try to persevere anyway…by constantly cleaning/swapping out the pads. Doesn’t help with the oddness of double dipping, but I figure (/hope) it helps overall!
Bonjour Alice, Merci pour vos conseils Belle journée F
Hope you have a great day too! ☺️
“A Witch or a vegan.” 😂😅😂😅
That made me LOL 😂
@@hannahallain same!!
OMG 🤣🤣🤣
Please could I ask your sun stick recommendations for topping up when not in direct sun for someone who has dry skin and has just started isotretinoin/accutane?
My favorite is isntree’s HA sun stick!
Have you seen the Chemist Confessions video on ginseng in skincare?
I haven’t! Will go check it out though ☺️
The cushion is very interesting. Great choices. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️
Thank you! You too! 🥰
I have tried the Some bi Me one, for my d4y skin it's great but nothing beats the D'alba waterful essence, wishit was cheaper, using P.calm andclove ❤that one
p.calm’s is excellent!
Do you use or review European sunscreens? I have heard a lot about Anthelios uvmune 400. I'm wondering how it compares to k sunscreens.
It’s so funny, I would like to. But I’m actually not sure where to get them!
@@AliceintheRabbitHoleyou can get them at the following sites
1. Care to Beauty
2. Cosmetis
3. Cocoon center
Though youll need to buy a lot to justify shipping. Or for the first 2 sites, get a few for a reasonable shipping cost. Also, they tend to use both old and new filters mixed so be careful about that. Niche Beauty has some sunscreens with all newer filters but they had sold out for their current sale atm.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I just ordered LRP uvmune invisible fluid and Eucerin oil control for the summer from Care to Beauty. I think it's one of the very few websites that sell European sunscreens and ship them to US. The delivery was super fast. Haven't tried them yet because these will be my summer sunscreens.
Alice! I got that foundation! Perfect color for me too:))
Ooh the about face? So happy to hear! 😁
@@AliceintheRabbitHole yes:) I will wear it tomorrow for the first time. I hope it wears well:)
I’ll be reporting back! 🤣
It’s great:)
Hi Alice, what Korean sunscreen can I recommend to my friend with rosacia?
I’m not well versed in rosacea specifically, but in general most K-beauty sunscreens are quite non-irritating! ☺️
I might check Dr. Sam Ellis' channel as she has rosacea. She's covered k-beauty in her videos including sunscreens.
I'm not Alice but have a family member with rosacea and she absolutely loves the Beauty of Joseon relief sun cream
The next on my list to try is now the Isntree onion line SPF as well at the Haruharu Wonder. I do love the newer formula of sunscreens as well. Currently using the Anua Heartleaf sun cream and just finished off the Dr. G one you spoke so highly about. Love them both!
Oh awesome to hear! Yes I absolutely love the new formula. It’s so quick and easy to apply, which is *exactly* what I want in a sunscreen ☺️
It’s labeled for the U.S. market (interestingly), so it just says broad spectrum spf 50
Hope that helps!
What are you allergic to in the someby mi? Fragrance? Theres fragrance in the toccobo too
Avo/oxy-benzone, sadly. It’s why I can’t use ANY western chemical sunscreens (as those are the only approved UVA filters we have in chemical options) 💔
Looooool I'm in Canada and we are always very amused at how some Americans react to the tiniest amount of ice/snow.
I believe it! We are at a complete loss 🤣
I did end up talking to quite a few Canadian tourists who were shocked by how cold Nola gets. Our 40 degrees was not what they anticipated (as the extreme humidity makes it feel colder!)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole here where I am, in January it got to -54 Celsius, that's -65 Fahrenheit 😬😬😬 but as much as it's crazy, cold is super relative because I'm also from Jamaica and people feel cold there too in the winter, even if it's not the same cold as here. So it's still valid, lol just amusing 🤣 not making fun of you guys at all ❣️
Plz try japanese sunscreen
I love J-Beauty sunscreen! It’s my waterproof video that covers them (for now, we will do something this year too 😁)
Can anyone recommend a sweat/water resistant Korean sunscreen? I can only seem to find Japanese, EU, and US ones.
Yes! Face Republic has one (it’s in my waterproof sunscreens video: I was very impressed with it!)
Missha also has an option, but I didn’t enjoy the scent in it
😂 inspired by Arrested Development😂 I love your videos ❤
Your skin is gorgeous and tight, its a dream!
Hi Alice ❌️⭕️
Yippee

Don’t even get me started on some by mi and their “ forsensitive skin types” claims 😒

Yes!! Kiss Me Mommy UV Aqua Milk was recommended to me by LOTS of folks as a water-resistant and alcohol/fragrance-free option. I am floored by how nice it is!!
