The inefficiencies of trucking is that its a truck. The logical conclusion is freight trains which have been around for good while now.
A lot of technological advances are about thinking outside the box but you can improve a truck bit by bit and you end up with a freight train. There's no need to reinvest the steal wheel as it were.
