I cannot express the impact your blog, your books, and your music had on my playing. Mr. Gwizdala I really believe you are not only a great musician but an amazing person. I wish you the best, and happy holidays.
Beautiful bass! That said - Janek, you are an amazing player. The solo you played with the double cut P was so soulful and honest. As Michael Jordan said - it’s not about the shoes... for you it’s not about the bass. Hard work, love of music and search for your truth. Thanks for taking us along for part of that journey. Best to you, Chelsea and the creatures into the New Year.
+Eric Brewington - Well said, Eric! Janek, I REALLY enjoyed your playing on that double-cut P as well...and I don't know what I'm doing here...I'm a drum & sax player. :) Cheers, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL!
7:10 from All The Good Stuff..My 3rd finger really struggled to stay on the G string when I first tried it on buying the book a few months back...now it sit's easily as I move up & down the neck..Thanks!
Woah! The double cut looks amazing!! All of them, but I really liked the double cut Maybe because I'm used to strats That's what I like about your blogs man, musician friendly Happy New Year!
Very interesting basses! That flamed ebony is crazy and is going to make an awesome fretboard! That P-bass sounds nothing like a P-bass-amazing tone! Typical Janek solo-phenomenal and soulful!
Dude, I love your playing, but that piece that ended at 11:41 (I don't recall the start time) I had to share. A - maze - ing. Everything about it. May I suggest you develop that piece further? I would love to hear more.
Was having two pickups very close together (On the single cut) your choice and how do you find (like) the interaction between the two pickups when you blend between them? I have a Warwick with two pickups very close together and really like how the blend becomes almost a midrange sweep control and helps to really "voice" the bass.
Looking at the pricelist of the luthier, since this is basically the Series IV the Single Cut will be around 5700 USD base model plus preamp and other options. Or maybe it will be a bit cheaper if they go for that bolt on design shown in the video instead of the neck through
Yeah I don't know how much will these costs but I wanna know, are those ones on the price list made in the factory where this bass will be made. In the case of the Series IV I would rather get a used fodera. Sorry guys :(
I don't want to be rude. But affordable is a really high spectrum. For some eastern Europeans (like me) a guitar that costs 1500usd is a lot of money. So I really wanna get a this bass but I can only afford it if it's not 5000+ usd. I think I'm not the only one to think about it this way.
Hey man, what advice do you have when trying to get out of a rut in terms of improvisation. (Everything sounds the same, getting tired of your playing, etc.)
Hi Janek. I'm a fellow Bassist from Madison WI. So I thought I was the only one who moans loudly when the play? Lol! Unfortunately my moaning has showed up on recordings. Sometimes it can come off hip. But I've learned to be conscious of this during studio work. Or intimate gigs. How do you feel about it? Do you think it helps your playing? I know It helps me.
Digging the basses. Like the idea of a p pickup and a bridge humbucker together in one bass. Wouldnbe really cool if you could switch between the two or both at the same time without the volume level changing. Covers the variety Of pickups I’m into. I mainly use the bridge humbucker on my 6 string, and p basses are legendary
when the bass player became feminine and women who play bass with masculine attitude that s strange ! play guitar if you play high pitch bollock become peanut

Hope you had fun in CO over the break! Sorry we couldn't deliver more snow, but it looks like you had a bit where you were :-)
Very interesting basses! That flamed ebony is crazy and is going to make an awesome fretboard! That P-bass sounds nothing like a P-bass-amazing tone! Typical Janek solo-phenomenal and soulful!
i love the body shape of the P. slightly offset

How do you travel with your bass in the cabin? there is place to carry it with you?
Was having two pickups very close together (On the single cut) your choice and how do you find (like) the interaction between the two pickups when you blend between them?

really looking forward to seeing what the factory models play like! I'm sure they'll be ridiculous.
OK if that's an affordable travel bass I would absolutely love that

The factory ones are probably going to be cheaper. But you also have to consider that this is a small company.

That takedown bass is pretty special J....
What is the song played at the beginning??
Bob Reynolds "Feedback" from a live bootleg in Los Angeles.
Hey man, what advice do you have when trying to get out of a rut in terms of improvisation. (Everything sounds the same, getting tired of your playing, etc.)
Will the basses be at NAMM?
What Happened with Fodera
Any chance the band will be coming to Sweden? :D
Still prefer the sound of the single p.u.!

Anyone know the name of the first tune?
"Feedback" from Bob's "Somewhere in Between" album but in a bit different version. Similar version to one in video is on "Live in New York" album.
Cheers dude, legend!
Olly, I think this vlog is the making of that album.

Cheers Jon, ill give that a watch now!
Any new word on these?
I could do without the reverse p on the singlecut
The fodera guys must be sad...
Bas Sista I’m sure Fodera is doing great selling basses on Sweetwater to folks who are maxing out their Sweetwater credit for them lol

The only bollocks I see is this comment unfortunately.... that's a pretty closed minded statement.
bollock become peanut
