Great show today, like two friends talking recipes! A great upbeat show for Monday. I always like Chef AJ with Lauren. Lauren always talks about her family and the problems she has transitioning people to whole food plant-based.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻❤
Love both of your personalities. Love watching her prepare her food and she is doing great with her husband hopefully he will come around someday. I was lucky I told my husband he had to fix his own meat because I wasn't. After a few meals he decided my food wasn't that bad after all. He was never a real junk food type eater though. We are older and grew up on great food. Gardens and no sweets! Down side was both my grandmother's use to kill the chicken and prepare it. Also eggs were the thing and they always had lots of baby chicks. They had a smokehouse where they had the red meat. Now I would probably throw up if I had to be around all of that!
Love your guests, please can I suggest you ask, PB with J onto your show, he is so inspirational but a ‘normal bloke’ we all can relate to, with a terrific family too, can’t get too many WFPB hero’s x
Just do an electric skillet for $19 at Walmart that's how you can boil the water then you can fry them in the skillet and or once their marinated go BBQ at the swimming pool hotels usually always have barbecuers by the pool
It is possible that the little animal on the pasta box is a Quokka. If you search google you'll find all sorts of images. Quokkas are found on some smaller islands off the coast of Western Australia.
I agree that you gotta choose to eat healthy even if your partner doesn’t. And some people will cook things for a partner that they themselves will not eat. But not me. I guess Im lucky that my husband knows how to cook. We often prepare our own dishes. I make a vegan lasagna that he admits is delicious and then he will still make a meat based one.😝
Liquid smoke isn't bad for you. It's literally just smoke flavor captured in water. I wondered the same thing and looked it up! They say it's better for you than the char from grilling

I boil mine right in the marinade, or like all my grains I boil in veggie broth! I love them in a bun, by themselves or in bake beans!
Great show! nice to hear everyone has the problem of spouses eating the other stuff and wishing they would eat more compliant.

Love the recipe ideas! Does anyone know if the pickle juiced used was dill or sweet pickle juice?
Yummy. Thank you.
Is there more information explaining how to make the potato bun? Is it basically a baked potato and do you hollow out the insides?
old man river in niagara falls ny has them
When you make the tahini, Chef AJ, do you use toasted sesame seeds or untoasted?
Personally, I use raw, but you can use either.
