Field Roast Stadium Dogs are amazing!! I’m laughing so hard at this video! Chris and Eric are talking about it not being good, but then they still eat the whole thing! 😂
Loma Linda is old school and caters to the Seventh Day Adventist community, also why there are a lot of vegetarian/vegan places around Loma Linda CA. This is one of the so-called "blue zones" where people live extraordinarily long
The Loma Linda lemon pepper tuno mixed in vegan sandwich dressing inside a cauliflower tortilla with any of your favorite veggies is amazing. Tasty vegan wraps made at home.
Lima Linda Big Franks have been around before any other vegan/plant-based brands. They have never changed their recipe and it’s delightful ! I fry them or roast them for a firmer texture. Also making them to make a sandwich paste is really good !
I can think of two good reasons why they're canned. 1.) Convenience. 2.) Significantly longer shelf life. Great for storing for hard times. The same can be said about most, if not every canned product.
I grew up on big franks and love them. And they taste nothing like hot dogs. Loma Linda and Worthington Foods I believe are from 1905 and are the original companies to make vegetarian and vegan substitutes.
loma linda is a brand that has been around for 100 years and was marketed towards 7th-day Adventists and Jewish people who ate on meatless kosher foods......you have to respect the old-school brands that paved the way for you to have all the very privileged choices that you do now, appreciate the old skool brands also Morningstar farms is the OG and is owned by Kellogg
Loma Linda and Worthington plant-based products have been around forever. I think they were the first commercialized or at least first commercial packaged plant-based meat alternatives. I live close to a large seventh day, Adventist area, and in the local grocery store in that town, they have an entire aisle of Loma Linda and Worthington products. They regularly go on sale, and people buy them up like crazy. You can also find both brands frozen. My mom used to tell me that she ate the Loma Linda brand at my dad‘s parent’s house when they were dating because his parents were Seventh-day Adventists and were vegetarian. my grandma used to go to Detroit, because they lived in the Northwest Ohio area, and purchase in bulk their meat, alternatives, and other items.
The Loma Linda Big Franks reminds me of Vienna Sausages. I grew up eating the sausages mashed up with rice as an after school snack. The Loma Linda is a great substitute! Also, I microwave it not grill it for the perfect lazy experience. 😅
These taste tests are THE BEST!! Especially when they include your friends! Absolutely love Destiny (&Bri) & Eric- you all are so funny & witty and completely entertaining. 😂🤩🤣
The Fieldroast frankfurters are my favorite!!! Not the stadium dogs. The frankfurters!!! 😋💕 They taste like an old-fashioned homemade hotdog from a German butcher shop!
I finally tried the field roast dogs but I’m pregnant so I puked it up an hour later. I’m in my second trimester so something in it was not agreeing with me. I was so disappointed! I did freeze the rest of the pack so I can hopefully try them again after my pregnancy.
Portillo's sells Garden Dogs which utilize the Field Roast hot dog. Dressed like Chicago Dogs, you can't tell they aren't the animal version. They are a very occasional treat and are fantastic. Portillo's: Outside of Chicago metropolitan area (45 locations) and Northern Illinois, the chain also has four locations each in central Illinois, the Indianapolis metropolitan area, and the Phoenix metropolitan area; three locations in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area and Tampa metropolitan area; two locations each in the Milwaukee metropolitan area, Madison metropolitan area, Orlando, and Southern California; and one location each in Metro Detroit, South Bend metropolitan area, Fort Wayne, Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and the Quad Cities.
The key to making the Lightlife Smart Dogs is NOT to follow the package instructions. I make them either in a skillet or George Foreman grill with some oil spray, or buttery spread. Then cook medium high until the skin blisters. That way you get that proper hot dog snap. I love Morningstar Farm corn dogs too. It's too bad the plain hot dogs aren't good. Loma Linda is an old school vegan brand created by members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The church espouses a vegetarian diet for health, and has a big community in Loma Linda, CA. A lot of vegan doctors, and other vegan influences are members of the church.
I liked the taste of those Stadium dogs, but man did they wreck me a bit later - stomach gymnastics was not fun. I still like Lightlife. Safest bet. Even better make yourself come carrot dogs. They are no joke. They taste amazing and blow everything else away as far as health.
I really love the field roast stadium hotdogs, but they’re so skinny that there’s too much bread in the bun. I like the light life ones especially if you wrap them with those vegan crescent rolls and bake them. Try it sometime. They are delicious!
Finding a decent vegan hot dog is difficult, I have tried many also but not been happy with the taste and texture of most of them. Will have to try the Field Roast stadium dogs. I do like the morningstar corn dogs. It's just nice to have a non meat option for family gatherings that tastes good. I have tried several of the Loma LInda brand products just because they have been around for so long, but most I didn't like. I guess if you grew up on these products you might like them.

This was the GREATEST taste test video you’ve ever done!! Destiny had me crying😂. I went out and bought your top 3. I was surprised at the LightLife so far. Years ago Lightlife was like dog food.
I gave up meat in 1976. I remember Loma Linda and they're the BEST EVER! Where did you find them? I thought they were discontinued. Also, they are best sliced lengthwise and fried in a little oil.
I love big franks but I did grow up eating them. I also haven’t tried any of the other ones except morning star but excited to try some now after this review.
Loma Linda, California is known for having a certain group of residents who are vegan or vegetarian and are considered to be part of the blue zone populations; they live longer and healthier than the typical American. I’ve seen other Loma Linda products.
MorningStar Farms are my favorite!! 🤷♀️ I either boil them or saute them in olive oil and they look and taste like a hot dog. The texture is perfect inside and the skin peels just like a hot dog as well. They're very realistic and I always stare at them while eating them lol. I personally love the taste of them the best. My #2 is the smart dog, but they don't have as much flavor, they are a tad too snappy/rubbery when sautéed, and they don't brown just like a hot dog like the MSF dogs do. The only thing I like from Field Roast is their pepperoni. They nailed that and are my favorite vegan pepperoni.
I actually love the Loma Linda Big Franks, I grew up eating them as a vegetarian. I also grew up eating the MSF ones as well. My other favorite is the Field Roast Stadium Dog. Another product that I like is Loma Linda Fri Chik in a can
I like the Lightlife ones. I tried Fieldroast's other stuff in a multi-pack and I hated everything that was in there and haven't touched them since. I am weird because I hate Daiya, beyond meat burgers, Upton's everything, and I genuinely hate cooking with coconut milk unless that's the milk it has regardless of being vegan.
when i went vegetarian in 1988, the Worthington brand (now labeled as Loma Linda also) was the only option for "meat" substitutes. hot dogs in a can were the only thing i felt were worth eating. a few years ago, i got nostalgic and bought a can of Big Franks and they definitely weren't the hot dogs i got back in the day. they have another canned dog called "Links" which might have been the ones i used to buy but with so many other choices out there today, why bother? nice to see you guys enjoying the veggie food i had to put up with 30+ yrs ago. I'm not a vegan, but I like the Morning Star hot dog. The taste wasn't perfect, but it's the only one I found with a similar texture to Brazilian hot dog sausage. However, we usually boil the hot dog sausage in tomato sauce. Unfortunately, Morning star is too expensive :(

I don’t eat them in a bun as a hotdog but slice them and mix them with potato salad/mayo etc (cold).
First of all…you and your friends are so fun loving! You have such nice friends! I love your genuine reviews of products…It’s very refreshing! Field roast stadium dogs are the best wienerschnitzel in California serves them. I'm looking forward to trying the Nathans vegan dogs but they're only available online and very expensive
I thought that's what brand they used but I wasn't sure. I go there occasionally with my grandson and get mine with just mustard and kraut.
Very helpful and enjoyable video
My job actually used to sell these loma Linda sausages and man they would GET BOUGHT idk if it’s bc the toppings took away from it but hot dogs vegan or not scare me so I refuse to try them 😭😭
The lightlife dogs...I love the inside but the outside gets so plasticky it makes me angry lol.
Honestly, for me the Lightlife dogs have a weird aftertaste to me that I didn’t really taste with the Simple Truth version.
