I pay taxes specifically with the intention to provide that safety net for myself and others. I can’t stand it when old white republicans run their mouths about how we can’t afford all these “hand outs” when they cashed millions in loans straight out of my tax paid wallet. Farm subsidies alone make up more than we’ve ever spent on SNAP.

And all the rich people who I know in life literally never turn down any benefit they could ever get. They hire special accountants to make sure they get all the tax breaks they can get. They would also take the food stamps if they qualified for it.

Idc what others think, I be at the check out like “it’s on the ebt” like it’s a platinum credit card 😂 but fr foodstamps is the only reason I’m able to save some this month.
