connor paul Your right, it does require a higher fps, but you use those extra frames to "convert" it into 30 fps. Thats the way slow-motion works. If you make a 60 fps video you cant slow the footage as much as you can with 30 fps since you have less extra frames.
Jeroen Not sure about that. The more FPS you have the more you can slow it down without tearing and pixel loss. At least thats how i experience it with my cams .

why no 60fps
Then you would have bad slow-motion shots and it would look less cinematic.
Jeroen slow motion shots require high frames per second.. it would look way better in 60fps
