This looks great. I am a big fan of Cousin's War. I love these small box games that pack a big-box-game punch. I got really interested in this period of history a few years ago. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and I was flicking the TV channels. El Cid came on the telly with Charlton Heston and Sophia Loren. Well, you stop flicking when Charlton and Sophia are on the box. Wow, it was so interesting. So it is great you are doing this game. This is a perfect game for me.

Oh, I like the look of this one. Tiny Epic Kingdoms didn't deliver for me like I'd hoped (especially in the solo mode), but this game looks like it will deliver the satisfying conquering with a small footprint and rulebook that I was looking for.
Small note: When you play your turn at the 46 minute mark, I think it was actually the opponent's turn to flip a card. You were excitedly thinking about strategy! But I can see how a token to keep track of who's turn (yours or Sanchos') would be critical in this game, since no matter who goes first, every Sancho plays each turn!

Sorry to jump into this game thread but it was the newest I could find and hopefully one that you are still monitoring. Can I ask if you ever intend to upload a 5th episode of your Star Trek Frontiers series? I am new to the game and have just watched the 4 episodes you created and I must say they are by far the most easy to follow, articulate and detailed instructions I have found on RUclips to date and on getting to the 4th was so disappointed that the conflict with the Borg is missing! I know you did this 6 years ago but surely this is unfinished business. Please please upload the 5th. Many thanks and again sorry for the unrelated post😊

@@BoxofDelightsthat would be excellent, I have managed to finish the scenario with your help and lots of rule refering and starting to get a grip of the game play. Going to also watch your Mage Knight playthrough, I also have this game as yet unplayed. many thanks

Looks a great addition to the family of games in this series. I already own the other 3. Hopefully when it's produced, there is a way to keep track of what is garrisoned and what is in the field, because, even though I was paying close attention to what you were doing, I found myself saying "Is that garrisoned or not?" Maybe in practice it won't be that hard. Or maybe having a "Field" side and "Garrisoned" side to the tokens would solve the problem. So you could just flip them to the proper side and not worry about where exactly they are in the region.

that's a great idea - nice thinking. I know Alan Paull did that exact thing in the remake of Kingmaker, so perhaps he will..... I suspect it will come down to costs, as printing on wooden tokens is a costly business.

      Hi Murr
I agree with Ricky's comments above :). I'd love to do that, but costs are very tight on this one. I've found that when I play, I keep 1 stack for each field army, and 1 for the garrison (usually 1 or 2 pieces). The art for the Towers and Castles leaves space in each Region for field armies.

Thanks for the walkthrough. I just bought this last week at the SPIEL fair in Essen and was wondering if you could clear something up for me:
In your version, the bot text reads "Do A. Do B. Do C; If not possible, do D", with C and D being on the same line. However, my german version says "Do A, and do B, and do C. If not possible, do D.", with C and D on different lines. Which is a major change. At least to me it reads like your version of D only applies to C, while mine applies to A, B, and C as a whole.
I wonder if that is a translation error or an intended change.

It means "(Do A, B, C) if not possible ( Do D)" - so what you have is correct.
