I love the additional deployment card haha, tbh in testing I found boat to be the best counter to phantom rays in 1v1 no tech. The eco trick synergysed really well too! Learn so much from the rat! ❤️
I find the best counter to rays is AA tarantulas with mines. Other than that, shielded wasps/fangs with aa/ignite or just distracting them with crawlers works. Not that you really need to counter them, they kinda suck.
Upgrade module allows you to upgrade a unit for 0 supply. When you sell an upgraded unit you get the cost of the upgrades as well. so Lv 2 melter nets you 600 supply Lv 3 800 and so on. most people use the upgrade module to take advantage of extra economy like rat does in this video
Hey rat, I have a question. I'm slowly gaining MMR and I've just recently capped a thousand. I don't have a ton of time on this game but I watch your videos a lot and I try to play when I can. My issue is I try to follow rat's rules for mechabellum and I'm especially trying to focus on the buying chaff. Unfortunately, what seems to be happening is I face lower MMR people who simply don't buy chaff at all and especially like to go hard on ark lights. What ends up happening is the enemy will buy two sets of sledgehammers or two sets of arc lights. Meanwhile, I'm buying another set of fangs or crawlers and they start leveling like crazy to the point they start to carry. It seems like my units don't have carry potential so nothing is killing anything. But I'm trying to stick with the rules of making sure I have a lot more chaff than I normally would. But I'm getting my ass handed to me by people who basically don't even buy it. So could you give me some tips please? Same goes for anyone here in the comments who has high MMR or even low MMR
If you see someone commit heavily on one unit type without chaff in general it's medium or large unit. I like to punish them with scorpion range (double shot if really heavy ) if there isnt any chaff it'll tear through them
@@aldrims8680 I always love that unit. I'll definitely give it a try. Hopefully I won't just run into getting out ranged by storms but I don't experiment enough with more advanced units so I'll have to give it a try
Who would win?
Imotekh the Stormlord, phaeron of the Sautekh Dynasty, with over eighty tomb worlds under his command
or
Rat
Rat. The stormlord has to be having some memory curruption after so many centuries. I love the model though!
Edge of my seat the last two rounds, always love your videos

no tech - maybe
with cloak boats lose, no chance
Rat avenged me ❤
Multimelters feel like the only hard counter to phatom armored phantom ray spam
Yea they seem very scary if you overinvest into the phantom rays
That is what I normally did and a steamroll through everyone, now I kind of settle down and do it very little. @@SurreyEZ
@@SurreyEZjust so you have an idea Rats I went from 800 and 900 to 1300 mmr and beat people mmr over 1500
Put burst mode and stealth on phantoms and they melt through Melters like butter

Crazy game. very good.
The music at the beginning cracked me up :D
Mustangs with range and ap do pretty well against them. Have to be willing to go carry mustang ofc.
not against ray armor
Are you going to update the starting specialists tier list? Now that fortified spec gives 30% hp he seems to be one of the best ones
If phantom rays cloak do they reset the melter beam?
yes
@@SurreyEZ Seems like melters would do poorly vs them with the cloak tech in that case.

Fantastic comeback.
what a game!
Does selling a unit with an item sell for more?
You get the item back, and you can use it again.

Play the same but if he refuses to buy chaff, just build more chaff, save some money and go r4 or r5 war factory with efficient maintenance
@SurreyEZ okay I'll try it out

Works well agains sledge/ fortress/ steel ball/ ark light if not covered by chaff
