Part 2 (happy ending): The next day, I bumped it down a little hill in the car park of the pub in which we were staying in Telscombe. I didn't for a moment expect it to start - but it did! Joy! Hence it was outside Volks and got into your video! It also quite happily made it all the way home on the Monday - and there and back in 2010! Cheers for a great vid; saw it at the time but didn't get round to commenting. Thanks for bringing back great memories - can't believe that was three years ago...
The little scooter to your right in the first shot is mine :-) And the one to the left belongs to my other half. My small frame, complete with freshly run in new barrel and piston, made it from Swindon to Winchester (about 50 miles) before deciding to conk out on the A34. Try as we might, we couldn't get it started, so, to my shame, it went the rest of the way to Brighton in a breakdown van, courtesy of Carole Nash. Other half and his scooter came with. Broken hearted, I was!
