This is one of the best looking cakes I’ve seen being made. I love that your ingredient quantities are so reasonable; most recipes seen online ask for 5 cups of sugar, 4 cups of butter and so on! I enjoy seeing your extremely neat work.

I actually made this lol and although it took literally the entire day, it was absolutely delicious and worth it. I don't like how sweet buttercream and other frostings are in America so this whipped cream type frosting was perfect! The cake was tender and just right in sweetness, including the syrup. Also I whipped it by hand so it took forever but it is possible to do! Very similar to Colombian bakery cakes :) will definitely make this one again! I made it as three 6-inch layers and didn't need to modify the measurements but only baked for 20 minutes. I substituted the kirsch for vanilla extract and it turned out fine!

Made this cake last December for my husband's birthday, it turned out great. Taste so good and mild, not too sweet, the fruits gave fresh flavour and the icing is mildly sweet. I made it gluten free and it still turned out awesome. Today I will make the sponge cake only for my daughter's birthday tomorrow. @@Forestgateaux hi, sorry for a late reply. I just bought any gluten free flour available here around me. I use plain flour, remove 2 tbsp from 1 cup and replace with 2 tbsp cornstarch if the recipe ask for cake flour. It works alright just different in texture due to the lack of gluten.

I really don't understand american cakes. They seem like they would be really dry to me. Where's all the layers or cream??? And then they add fondant on top... Tragic. The cake in the video reminds me of what we call Icy Wind in Croatia and its one of my favourite cakes!
@@valentinasinkovic8116 Americans are so afraid of weight gain, they substitute all sorts of other things for flour, sugar and butter - which changes the texture of the cake. They should just eat smaller amounts. The commercially available cakes and pastries are full of sugar and artificial ingredients and taste awful.
Valentina Šinković I am American and no one where I live wants fondant on their cake. That’s something that started in the UK. Some people do it here for looks but most people prefer buttercream.

Made this cake for my mum's birthday. Don't know what was wrong with the cake batter, it did not rise at all in the oven and all the butter had sunk into the bottom. Made the cake base a second time with the same result. The top part of the cake was soft and airy, but the bottom part was dense like a pound cake. I eventually ended up making a different cake base, but used this recipe's filling and decorations. Those flavours were very nice and the end result was pretty.
Hey to be honest i know that the results would be like you described, don’t believe in theses techniques, instead, add baking powder to your flour, or try to watch how to make hong kong sponge cake style. The most important thing is you cant over-mix them, and the temperature this youtuber suggested is way too high, every diameter mold needs different temperature. The bigger the mold is, the lower temperature, for example, I would bake my 20cm round cake at 110C for nearly 2 hours.

I have made this cake for my daughter’s birthday. It was the most delicious cake I have ever made. It didn’t end up as pretty as in the video though. But everybody just loved it!!! Especially the kids. Easy enough to make if you follow instructions. Thanks for the recipe!

The aesthetics of your cake just made my brains and eyes happy! Too pretty to eat but would do so anyway! What you do takes a lot of time, and you make each cake with a quiet patience and expertise. They're all sooo beautiful; they're more like works of art; like an expensive painting. @@anabdm9614 yo lo hago con harina normal de todo uso, porque el bizcocho es un bizcocho genovés, y el bizcocho genovés no lleva levadura (polvos de hornear), por eso hay que batir muy bien los huevos con el azúcar hasta llegar al punto de letra (que se puede escribir con la mezcla cuando está bien montada), para que el bizcocho quede tan esponjoso y no se baje

You can omit white chocolate.
We recommend Mascarpone.
In my recent video, there is a cream video using mascarpone.
Just skip the chocolate there.
I think you can try it with chocolate ganache in icing cream.Just replace white chocolate with milk or real chocolate.
You don’t really taste the chocolate at the end 😅

The aesthetics of your cake just made my brains and eyes happy! Too pretty to eat but would do so anyway! It's like a dress one would wear during the summer. 😊 Adding syrup to the sponge cake also made me glad because the fruits look sour to me and I was thinking if the icing/ganache weren't sweet enough it would be such a mood spoiler. 전에 파리바게트에서 사먹은 생크림 케익 맛이 넘 맛있어서 ㅜㅜ~ 왜 집에서 만든 생크림에선 그 맛이 안 나지 싶었는데 바로 이 맛이었어요!! 저번 분 베이크님의 망코 케익 망고크림을 따라 만들어 보면서 알게 되었어요 ㅎㅎ 진짜 몇년간 궁금했던게 풀려서 넘 좋았어요~ 정답은 화이트 가나슈를 생크림에 넣어 휘핑했던것!

Been trying to find an actual fresh fruit cake recipe for years; always remembered the taste of a delicious Caribbean cake my mom used to always buy us on our birthdays. @@anabdm9614 yo lo hago con harina normal de todo uso, porque el bizcocho es un bizcocho genovés, y el bizcocho genovés no lleva levadura (polvos de hornear), por eso hay que batir muy bien los huevos con el azúcar hasta llegar al punto de letra (que se puede escribir con la mezcla cuando está bien montada), para que el bizcocho quede tan esponjoso y no se baje
