I'm pretty well versed in videography but new to the iPhone world and did some research on which ND filters are the best. Just letting you know your video was by far the best and I purchased my variable ND filter, anamorphic lens and case for my 14pro using your links.
hey there yes i ended up getting the case and nd filter but my filter doesn't fit on to my case like your i did buy the same one as you also but just doesn't attach like yours were you can screw it on to the case mines more like a big circle off glass
You were the only one that explained everything so well. i'm buying this tomorrow thanks to you! ❤️ cheers to filming! and thank you so much for this very beautiful video. imma scream because i'm so excited. thank you again.
I don’t work with any case, even if you got the slim case. only with their case and if you have three lens camera, you have to unscrew and screw the filter each time you zoom in or out. They return policy is BS once you buy you can’t return it.
This is correct, you have use their case and it does scree in, but they do provide a clip for their filters that can clip over any case. I’ve yet to see a filter system that doesn’t use a bespoke case. If you’re zooming in and out a lot, then this kind of filter system is not for you.
Hey, with this kit, you can screw the filter into the wide and tele lens. It’s not recommended to use with the ultra wide as you’ll get noticeable vignetting. If you still want to use the ultra wide, then just use the universal clip and not the case.
Hey great video man but I was wondering would you recommend this or the Reeflex lenses for casual shots like nighttime photos? Does the Reeflex come with ND filter?
I would go for the lenses from Reeflex as they do sell filters and adapters for all their lenses, so there is more flexibility. But the Sandmarc filters are amazing for pure filmmaking.
@@ShootSmartphone I’m deciding between the wide angle and the fisheye for landscape photos/nighttime photos. Which ND filter should I get with either lens?
Hey Anil, I just ordered the Moohoto mount for my 14promax, good review. Do you still favor the Sandmarc case and ND setup? Six months later. one wonders. Thanks.
Hey, that’s a great question! I was sent a kit from Freewell that is awesome. It’s giving Sandmarc a run for its money! It’s going to feature in a ‘Whats in my camera bag’ video later this month. 😁👊🏽
Two questions. Does the filter cover all the lenses or do you choose which lens to use and screw it over 'that one"? secondly, did you try with ultra wide lens? I've read that using ultra wide with any variable ND gives the X or dark corners.
Hey, this filter can screw into either the standard wide or the telephoto lens. It’s almost always being used with the standard wide lens on my setup. What you’ve read is correct. It’s not compatible with the ultra wide lens as you will get noticeable vignetting in your video. 👊🏽
I appreciate this video a lot! I had decided to upgrade my filming and started looking to purchase some filters, but most of them are so confusing as to what I actually need to purchase; it’s as if they don’t want you to buy from them. Then I remembered Sandmarc, watched your video, went to the website and saw how Easy it is. And if you have a link in your vid description I will go through it. Thanks! Just checked you have the link for the ND Filter and I clicked it, but I have the IPhone 13 Pro not the max. I don’t think that link will work, but I’ll try.
@@ShootSmartphone I noticed that as well. Just gonna wait to see what beastgrip has to offer. I'm launching a youtube channel and your channel has given me the confidence to do it with the iphone.

@@ShootSmartphone No problem! Any recommendations for a filter for night time shooting?

Hi, yes the links are for the kit being used in the video which is for the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

You’re welcome, it’s great to get good feedback. Thanks 😁
great video and I am purchasing because of this. Just one other question, did you use any luts?
Yes, I have my own luts, that I’m hoping to make available at some point of I can get my website setup 😁

says 30 day return policy on their site. did they not allow a return?
Sir what apps you use for your iPhone camera editing
Hey, if you mean editing videos, then I mainly use CapCut on my iPhone. 👊🏽
What if I want to use the filter on another of the three lenses ? What to do then? What is the Solution? Thanks for your answer!

@@ShootSmartphone what setup do you think I should purchase for my first setup? Filter and lens plus any accessories included?
@@ShootSmartphone I’m deciding between the wide angle and the fisheye for landscape photos/nighttime photos. Which ND filter should I get with either lens?
You should start with the wide and telephoto lens with matching filters. This should give you a broad range of shots.
The UK always looks cold 🥶
That’s because 90% of the time it is 🤣
I’m tempted. Well done, Great video
Thanks 👊🏽
Once again another awesome upload, definitely going to be purchasing one shortly!
I found ND filter with different specs, nd4, nd8, nd16, nd32, nd64, nd128. I’m confused bcoz I’m a beginner. Please help out with this
Just start off with a VND filter between 4 and 64. This normal ok for daylight video.

If I order a sandmarc case and kit, is it possible to buy a third party ND1000 and use it with the filter mounts?
If you get the case and step ring, I see no reason why you couldn’t screw on a different filter. As long it fit the thread size. 👊🏽

Waiting on my 14 pro max. I hope i can use the same cases from the 13 pro max with it.
I was wondering the same, but I’m noticing that brands like Sandmarc and Moment are pre ordering 14 Pro Max cases, so I’m guessing not 😩
