well all this years I have been asking myself , as I can see in the studio there so many gears but why do we still need plugins to mix vocal or instruments , then comes my question why do we have a lots equipments for when we can only use plugins to mix or master ? please if anyone know the answer reply me thanks

Not everybody can afford racks and racks of studio hardware. Also, with plugins you can use many instances of the same virtual version of the hardware where you could only use one (or need to purchase multiple units) to use the hardware like that. Some people also prefer to use a blend of hardware and software plugins.

@@ikmultimedia so we can still use booth of them. which gear would recommend to as home recorder beside just having sound carte ?

So glad I found your stuff. It's making the impossible possible for me. After getting amplitube I knew this gear would do it.

Very very good question. I think a lot of it boils down to having the stuff in view in these videos simply because it looks good. But, yeah, ultimately, it shouldn't be necessary to use plugins if you've already (presumably carefully) tracked using great hardware. So, yes, your question is great, and a looming white elephant at the same time.

      T-RackS 5 is 64-bit only so you'd need to be running a 64-bit DAW.

He goes over everything in URM. I'm sure his vocal video is on RUclips. Look up TLA URM Vocals
