$2,200 for a new 16x100GbE switch (with added 25GbE ports) is bonkers, especially with the flexibility that comes from QSFP28 being able to be broken out into its component lanes.
I have two things I would LOVE Mikrotik: 1. A CCR with a better CPU or maybe two of the same CPU's as the 2216. 2. A passive cooled POE switch with 2.5Gb ports for new Wifi 7 APs with a 10Gb SFP Uplink.
Just got the CRS518, absolutely amazing. Would love to see two hardware features: (1) Allow rack ears to be mounted with an offset, so switch would be pushed back 2~3cm. This prevents cables/fiber from being bent the door. (2) Make fans reversible, or sell reverse-flow fans. This allows mounting on the rear of the rack, where the proper airflow would be reversed.
Last two year i have rb3011, first contact with mikrotik. After few month with learning mikrotik i buy rb4011. After another few months i buy ubiquiti udm pro, nice ui but very low options and control. I buy CCR2004 for same performance but more configurable .. now is funny i switched from CCR2004 to udm and back for six times.. yesterday i returned udm pro to buy back CCR2004. Cant leave mikro, tons of config, low price, and is just working.. latest mikrotik ccr i have 70days uptime, with latest udm from wek to other i uace reboted, failed to boot, self restarted. Mikrotik is just working. Once config you forget about is there❤❤❤
We love your products and we love winbox, when are we getting the proverbial single-glass-pane setup from you? Such that I can configure multiple switches at the same time without loging out and logging into another
At the rate Mikrotik releases hardware, it will take years and probably won’t be all 2.5G. They wait until these features go into low-cost chips and are widely available, which is not the case yet.
If you will make the VLAN`s you will got it mate :). You wil can Disable Enable Ports Without problems. And you will can Inspect your ARP Without problems.
it would be amazing if the CRS320 had the option of a DC power supply. Most of my sites run DC only and if I don't have to an an inverter i get longer run times for a power outage.
Google "MikroTik silent boot" shows two methods that may apply to that model (sorry I don't have): In winbox: system->routerbord->settings->silent boot In console: /system routerboard settings set silent-boot=yes
when are you going to fix OpenVPN client/server on RouterOS? when are you going to fix IPv6 SLAAC? when are you going to let IPv6 RA per interface instead of globally? when are you going to implement SSL Decryption support like a real firewall?

If you need to remote into your router from anywhere, Mikrotik already has that, it’s called “Back To Home”. If the word “AI” gives you fuzzy feelings, then call it “AI” and there you go, you’ve got the features that you call “AI”.
can we please get a new RB5009? call it RB6009 AND give it all 2.5gb ports with 2 10gig sfp ports?
Like a RB2004-16G-2S+ but with 2.5gbit
@@Andrew_Thrift i like the size of rb5009 tho, super tiny compared to other routes and does really well without fans
2.5Gig Ports with POE++
That's what we need.
@@itsLaUziCuhtrue that.
They could easily do it but would need to move to the CN9132
This. I love my RB5009 but man, all 2.5GB and 2 SFP 10GB would be fire.. yes please, take my money…
I like the newsletter format and this guy, he is authentic and refreshes the brand.
Thank you! :)

I really am enjoying these videos. and absolutely for no reason I wan t that 100GB switch.

With VRRP and MLAG incompatible with L3HW, VXLAN done in software, and no BGP multipath and aggregation support, still not quite there for me.

For 2 you might use RB5009 as a switch,it checked what you need
Can we expect a next-gen router with x5 2.5Gbps ports, better Wifi6 than the HAP ax^3, and hardware VLAN hw. offloading?
Please focus on fixing MLAG! 🤞

Is split mode supported on the 100gbit ports?
For example, turning a 100gbit port into 4x25.
Yes

Really cool stuff on this Newsletter! Keep going!
Still here patiently waiting for 2.5Gb or 5Gb POE++
We love your products and we love winbox, when are we getting the proverbial single-glass-pane setup from you? Such that I can configure multiple switches at the same time without loging out and logging into another
Need a 24 or 48 port 5GbE, PoE++ switch with at least 4x 10GbE ports.
Im waiting for something of size hap ac2, but with wifi7 and 2,5G on all ports.. so Mikrotik when?

What function of more RAM instead more powerfull CPU ?
Add a feature called Dynamic Arp Inspection and Port-Security and we can sell that thing in the enterprise

If they add G.8032, it might even be suitable for carrier applications.

3 years have passed since the release of RB5009. Now you have a few 2.5G devices - it’s time for an update of RB5009, with more 2.5G ports?

What about the OpenVPN? :(
The mikrotik lineup is really missing a router with atleast 1 10GbE port. :(
We have many such products with "at least one 10GbE port". Check our webpage mikrotik.com
I'd love to see a 2.5G PoE++ switch.
