Just got ours connected today! Very easy setup, but lacks a lot of information in the manuals like how to turn the system off entirely without flipping the breaker (hold side button for 2-3 seconds). The app is very archaic, and the thermostat itself is very basic. One feature I’d like to see is leaving the screen full brightness at ALL TIMES. Our thermostat faces a window and unless the backlight is on, you can’t tell it’s on at all.
Thanks to Matt I was able to turn off our floor but now I am unable to get the floor to heat up again. It is turned on. We do not have the WiFi model, we have Ditra-Heat-E-HK model and I cannot find an online manual for this model. I need some help.
Hi Kristine, I think the most efficient thing to do in this situation (to figure out which model you have, this seems to be missing a few letters like -R, or -RT... the HK represents the heating cables) would be to call our Product Support team on 800-472-4588 (US) or 800-667-8746 (CA). I have a question about the internal GFI breaker on the Ditra thermostat. When you press the test button on the top, what message is supposed to be displayed? I have one that is displaying "Ground Fault Error...if this problem persists contact your installer." Is this the normal message that is displayed when you press the test button?

Is there a way to turn off the thermostat completely at times? Like for example I only want it to warm up at 7 am and then be turned off until 9PM. Is that possible?

When I turn on the thermostat it shows me the adjustment options. As soon as I select anything the options disappear and there are 3 orange dots on the screen. How don I correct this?
Can you please move the location of the save button on for the mobile app for iPad/iphone. It is in the same vicinity as the "Close this app" button, which happens 9 out of 10 times.
My thermostat always seems to keep the floor temperature about 2 degrees Celsius below what we set it at. Also it doesn't seem to ever let the floor go above 28 degrees Celsius - even though it appears to have the heat continuously running.

Hi Gavin, hold the button on the bottom right hand side for 2-3 seconds. That will power the unit off but the breaker would still be on. Hold the same button down for 2-3 more seconds to power the unit back on. You could also adjust the manual target temperature to 50 (or a lower temperature that would never have a reason to kick on) and then select "Permanently" for the time frame. When you want to resume operating as normal, you would just click "Return to Schedule". You can also turn the breaker off, if you do not want any power going to the unit at all. Hope this helps.
