Shadow Weraver is definitely the best figure to me in this wave and arguably the best shadow weaver yet released. Fantastic sculpt and that fabric cape give it the perfect vintage style charm. That fabric cape turned this into a top tear figure in my books.
If this is to be the final wave. It's a shame we didn't get more She-Ra characters. I'd love to see the likes of Bow and Catra in the classic MOTU style.
Bummed that this is potentially the end, I also feel like they were starting to hit their stride with this line. Really wish we could’ve gotten a filmation Fisto because he’s my favorite haha
Yeah Fisto would have been great. Also, Jitsu, Faker, Cy-Klone, King Hiss, Roboto, and Grizzlor. Battle Cat and Panthor too and a new Castle Greyskull and Snake Mountain. They keep making great lines of figures, but they never make the big playsets and other cool accessories to go with them. It's a major bummer.
When this line was announced I was more excited for these over Classics as they were losing steam. Love this 5.5 line. I am excited for Origins also though.
Sad to see the end of that line, Super 7 had finally found their way. I would have loved to see a vintage Adora, Bow or Catra. But I’m also hyped by MOTU origins, and I hope that we finally see this missing figures in this new line.
Great review! They're nifty to look at, and the retro stylings hit me right in the nostalgia, but they're not really my bag. I'm happy for the people who wanted these and finally got them, though.
I started to get back into him a little bit when you started to do more and more of these figures but then when I saw the toys that made us He Man episode on Netflix I really started to get back into Masters of the Universe
We didn’t get Queen Marlena - but luckily we got five variants of He-Man and a crystal Man-at-arms, shadow Orko and ice Teela! Not a waste at all! I would love to see Karg in 5.5 style.
Great review as always I really like the Evil lyn figure as well as Stratos. It’s a bit sad knowing Super7 will end up with this 5.5’’ figure line as there would have been so much figures to do . Let’s wait for this new origins line from Mattel.
They’ll probably return to MOTU after the Origins line is over. Not that I really want it to be, but, I hope we could get more filmation style characters. At least we got the customizers.
It's so weird that 6 year old me that saw the Evil Seed episode of He-Man, and wanted him as a toy, would get him 38 years later. I dont know if someone told me that at that age, if I would have been happy about it, or stunned I still wanted toys as an adult lol.
@@Kalle72 haha, cuz I know weirdo's like you on the internet are gonna do the math, track me down, and kill me for my MOTU collection. NOT TODAY BUCKO! ;)
You could pretty easily customize swivel wrist on buzz off. Use a dremel and saw off his hands, then drill small holes in his arms at the wrists and at his hands. Then use a small dowel glue it to his hands, then stick em on his arms.
If that is the reason this line is really ending, I'm disappointed. Origins has more detailed articulation and appears to be aimed for kids. While this retro line has less articulation, is aimed at adult collectors, and uses different character designs. And both lines are available in two different markets,
I really wish the line was not ending because I wanted to get a stinkor and a whiplash because whiplash is the first motu figure and my brothers favorite character is stinkor
I can't believe they made all sort of strange variants, like the transparent ones and black Orko, but they left out the likes of Tri-klops, Mantenna, Leech... 🤷♂️
ive picked shadow weaver buzz off up. they re brilliant shame super 7 not making them any more. theres still lots of characters that have never been mad.including a gigantisaur. great review dan.
I never got over the horrible hips of He-man and Skeletor that feel like they're going to break every time I move them, but I guess it sounds like they have actually made some improvements. I think I'll have to get Mer-man, and if I'm happy with him then I might grab a few more.
Sucks that they aren't doing any more for the foreseeable future. I'd love to have gotten 5.5 animated Clawful, tung lashor, battle cat & panthor. Always wanted a 5.5 Fang man as well!
I wish they weren’t shiny. Pics on bigbad looked good in flat finish but cool figures. I was able to find all but shadow weaver & evil Lynn. I’m good with the 3 dudes. The entire waves up. But u gotta buy these plus shadow orko & glow heman. But I own that heman. I bought titan & megator (new in box), $119 each free shipping . Classics not the 80s. Is this a good price? Only other one to compare was a titan used, no weapon for $50 plus shipping. & a wrecked boxed megator for $99 plus shipping.
