Here's a secret that ought to help simplify things. Your favorite Pentatonix song is the one you're listening to right now. When you told us that you didn't really like "Little Drummer Boy", you can bet that we Pentaholics collectively thought to ourselves, "Oh, this is going to be GOOD." Listen to it again and pay attention to Kevin as he *whooshes* Kirstin into to her solo at the end. Genius.
I saw it on your face! You're the ONLY reactor I've seen recognize that when Kevin starts to sing the lyrics, "Shall I play for you..." that it's ironic because HE IS THE DRUMS! I love this reaction! Thank you for reacting to PTX!
This was the first song I heard by Pentatonix. Have followed them ever since. And to think that they were only about 19 years old then. Merry Christmas and thanks for the reaction
This arrangement is the most fresh and original (not to mention their gorgeous voices) I've ever heard. So unique and hauntingly beautiful. Happy it changed your mind!
I'm so glad they've changed your mind on "Little Drummer Boy". Thank you for all your PTX reactions. I've looked forward to each one and been pleased with your reactions. I look forward to any other PTX videos you react to. Happy Christmas!
This is such a powerful rendition of this classic. Such an incredible arrangement and Kirstie sailing up to the sky at the end brought it home. What a group!!!
♥ We Pentaholics like to say our favorite PTX member is the one we're looking at and our favorite PTX song is the one we're listening to. Sad to hear no more Christmas reactions, but I get it. Maybe we can revisit in the summer - Christmas in July sort of thing. Merry Christmas, Craig, and to the entire Taylor family.
This is my favorite favorite Christmas song! I cry each and every time I listen to PTX sing this song and it was the first song I heard from them some 5 years ago!! I was hooked and must of listen to it like 20 times! I’m so happy they’ve changed your mind!!!!!
Thank you for bringing this version of Little Drummer Boy to me. I am a PTX fan but somehow managed to miss this one. What a fantastic way to end our Christmas journey. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you soon.
Thank you so much for this reaction - when you said this one was originally on the bottom of your Christmas songs list, I was thinking to myself, "Well, that's about to change!", and I'm glad to see you come round. The feelings they put into each song they perform, and can then get those same feelings to come out in us, as the listener, is simply untouchable by any other group I know of - with or without instruments. All of your reactions have been awesome, and as far as more Christmas songs, there's always next Christmas season to check out some of the ones that you missed this year! LOL - I hope you and your family have the lovliest of Holidays - Merry Christmas!!
Of course we can indulge you with a day off! Merry Christmas and enjoy the holiday with your loved ones. This is one of my favorites of their Christmas songs. I also love Hallelujah, but their version of The Prayer pushed past it for me.
YAAAAAAAY for the sweater ("jumper" - over here, a jumper is a little girl's dress LOL)!!! I'm so glad you had an open mind for this---and that it changed your mind!! ("The Little Drummer Boy" is one of my all-time favorite Christmas cartoons, from way back in the day!!) Wishing you and yours the Merriest Christmas!!! 🎄
Loved this video and as always truly enjoyed your reaction, but then I enjoy all of your reactions. This was the first year I heard PTX version of this and loved it immediately!!! Mary Did You know was my fist PTX song & that was 5 years ago! I was an instant Pentaholic , llike so many others. I hope you an your family had a most blessed Christmas 💕. See you next time. Oh, and a big👍for the Christmas jumper! 😉😊
"My Heart With You"? Kirstin's laser bright voice and Avi's thundering bass make this one for me. Then ya you add Kevin and what he does...GREAT Stuff! Merry Christmas to all!!!!
This was never of favorite Christmas song of mine growing up either but this is one of my favorite Christmas arrangements from Pentatonix. Happy Holidays to you and your family from St Louis, MO.
The Little Drummer Boy was always one of my favs because my mother had a little drummer boy ornament that she would put on our Christmas tree every year and sing this with me, tell me about Jesus and the meaning of Christmas. Now Pentatonix has made it even more special!
This will be a new "classic" for me. It's done so well and creatively. Big grins for this one. Glad you did a reaction to this. Have a wonderful holiday.
Thanks for a great reaction! I have really enjoyed your reactions to Pentatonix Christmas music. It has been a difficult time for me this Christmas (as it has been for many people) and I really find the Christmas music being played on our local radio station tired and depressing-- I wish they would play Pentatonix versions instead. There have been so many times that Pentatonix has covered a Rap or Pop song I don't like and made it into something wonderful. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!
A couple videos back in this playlist, I challenged you to pick a song that you didn't really like and find a Pentatonix version of it. According to your intro this is one of those songs and I do believe it has changed your mind about it! No surprise there. I love your honest and real reactions. It's been fun watching you try to find new adjectives for their songs. Unreal, spectacular, phenomenal, perfect. Even though Christmas is quite a few months in the past, I hope you had a good one. I have enjoyed watching your reactions two these Pentatonix Christmas / winter songs. [Edited to add] of course Kevin would play a big part in this song being that he is the Pentatonix Little Drummer Boy. And I agree with you how Avi's voice is nearly felt rather than heard. Matt is great but I do miss Avi just like everyone else does. They are amazing. Thank you again.
This has been my favorite Christmas song for 50+ years mainly because my favorite Christmas movie to watch as a kid was "The Little Drummer Boy". I loved it so much I named my son, Aaron, after him as my son was born three days before Christmas. And, this is my favorite cover of the song. Happy Holidays to you and your family Craig!
Honestly, any song that you think that you don't like, if PTX does it, I can almost guarantee that you'll enjoy it and prefer the PTX version. PTX doesn't do covers, they do upgrades
You should also watch For King and Country’s version of Little Drummer Boy LIVE from Phoenix. It’s unbelievable! Merry Christmas to you and your family!! 🎄🎁
I could not find it in your collection but for your country journey you definitely need to check out FOREVER COUNTRY it has 20 country artists on one song please chekc it out!!
If you are referring to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen which is very well known, it's not a Christmas song or a religious hymn. Listen to or read the lyrics.
Yeah, this was one of my least favorite Christmas songs until PTX did this version. I heard Scott recently say that they almost didn't release this. They didn't think it was good enough! Blows my mind, the standard they hold themselves to.

Love those 2 octave (if not more) drops Avi does at least twice.
This is such a powerful rendition of this classic. Such an incredible arrangement and Kirstie sailing up to the sky at the end brought it home. What a group!!!

You really need to hear their Amazing Grace! Honestly…and the tear jerker for Christmas called Thank You.
Their vocals are absolutely hypnotizing on this song ❤

This is 1 of only 2 songs/covers I love from PTX. I love the simplicity yet complexity. This is great.

Excellent reaction to a song that only PTX can reimagine and bring to much needed life!
They have so much life in their singing you can feel it over the waves.

You didn't do the "Sugar Plum Fairy"! That is a scandal!
You must make this extra video! xD one more one more one more
Love your facial expressions… you need to listen to amazing grace by ptx
If you are referring to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen which is very well known, it's not a Christmas song or a religious hymn. Listen to or read the lyrics.
It was never my favorite either. Slow and boring. I love it now. Merry Christmas.
Yeah, this was one of my least favorite Christmas songs until PTX did this version. I heard Scott recently say that they almost didn't release this. They didn't think it was good enough! Blows my mind, the standard they hold themselves to.
