I love that someone cut the tshirt into a different neckline tank instead of just cropping it.

Yep! Diverse body types and ethnicities, buzzfeed always does a really good job (at least to what they show us, I’m not saying the whole company is necessarily that way, but their videos always are)

Deleted Account I would actually be curious to see why this was something you felt the need to point out. Buzzfeed pays them quite a bit of money (and it’s also possible that those phones are work phones that they provide, we don’t know) so of course they have nice phones. It doesn’t have anything to with diversity

Interesting how nobody kept the length of the shirt. Everyone tucked, rolled, cropped, altered or cut to make it shorter.
Shorter makes sense, it's huge on some of them.
And baggy isn't currently stylish.

Yeah basically the shirt wasn't actually nice enough to leave it as is. I really thought that the shirt wasn't actually very attractive at all and that these women had to try pretty hard to make it look good.

I was thinking someone would cut it down the centre and make a kimono out of it.

Nina Pispala me too. Especially warm tons. I have cool tone skin with some natural under tones. Being extremely fair all bright colors especially warm ones looks like I’m sick. I would’ve turn the shirt into a more vintage look to mute it some.

I love how all these women have different body types
Oh yes, “let’s see how these ten women with different style will style this one shirt” and then 8 out of ten, tie, tuck or cut the shirt into a crop top, very original. I was looking for some bold choices, instead got the same thing on repeat
I agree. There was a lot of reliance on denim too.
I thought the few people that altered the top but cutting or sewing were the most interesting by far. The others were not quite as memorable.
How is mix two completed different prints common?
@@darklordkitzu Well, normally it's not common. But in the video 4/10 people styled it with mixed prints. So quite common?
savannawithoutanh or they went “well black will work” another problem was they literally all left it as a shirt, I mean I understand from the poor hand sewing skills seen in the video that they wouldn’t be able to do proper alterations but come on a skirt, shorts, play suit, or romper don’t require that much sewing, and could instantly make a more creative outfit, they could have changed the neckline (yes I realize technically Freddie did) made the shirt asymmetrical like I have at least 20 ideas of what to do with that shirt and only like 5 are leave it as a shirt. They should have watched the Great British Sewing Bee’s transformation challenges for inspiration.
@@anufoalan I do 100% get where your coming from but with these video's their were most likely time constraints and it's not the most common thing to know how to sew. The shirt was also not long enuogh to become a romper. Also even if they did make a skirt or a short I don't think that fabric is the flowy/strecthy kind and it would also ruin the spiral. (No hate and I know it is your opinion☺👌😅)
For me Bianca and Jackie were total nonos. I mean first of all Biancas skirt was a tiger print skirt and that is a very powerful pattern on its own. Adding the tye dye with it was not a great choice. Then it’s basically the same problem with Jackie. I feel like they didn’t get the point of the challenge which I feel was make the shirt the focus point of the outfit. The other ones were pretty good and I could tell that it could be a regular outfit that anyone would go out in. Like I was scared to see what Michelle was going to wear but it came out well. That’s my take on it though everyone has their own opinions. Also mixmatched socks seems like you just couldn’t find the match in your laundry.

Black & white bottoms seem like the best way to keep the outfit interesting and fun without it being too much. But, Essence's ripped denim shorts were perfect for that top too. Michelle played it safe with the jeans but I actually liked it with her black shorts better.

I would crop the shirt and alter it to make it not so basic and wear it with some flare pants and go for a 70s vibe
You really need to do these videos with more edgy, and grungy/gothy styled people. In every video it's mostly girlish or suuuper crazy styled people.

ALL of these women are so incredibly beautiful in their own unique way. I love the fact that these type of videos celebrate such body positivity and diversity. Being all inclusive such a beautiful thing to see
tbh with all the crops im shocked no one did like the snipped string or knotted cropped where you snip lines and pull n stretch it. XD
I LOVED JOYCE'S styling. The cute earrings, the hair already went with it, and the outfit is something I feel like anybody could be comfortable wearing out to something fun.

Tie dye is not easy to style so kudos to all these ladies, but Joyce's, Freddie's, and the lady who made the halter were my favorites.
That first girl did a really great job on her halter top. I love these videos. It is so fun to see what everyone comes up with. I would have made mine a v neck and cropped it and then put two rows of grommets down the center and weaved a string through them so that the center could be cinched. Then I would have tied a bow at the bottom of the cinch to hold it in place and I would wear it with distressed high waisted boyfriend jeans or mom jeans.
