Thanks for watching, and remember: Taylor Swift should win the Nobel Prize just for Midnights, guys, it's just that good. Karma is a moose without antlers, Karma is a nerd with a girlfriend, Karma is a lizard in a wind-tunnel.

Murakami winning the Nobel Prize would be such a joke tbh, I don't think his fans understand why he isn't a good option though.
Like ... the Nobel Prize is for doing something to have a positive impact on society. And Murakami's books about anything but that. His fans wishing for him to win says a lot about the fans.
Taylor Swift winning though ... that would be really really funny

The jury members have repeatedly said that they do not consider things like "positive impact on society". The other year they gave it to a genocide denier. At the time they clearly explained that they only considered the quality of the language.

I fail to see the logic here... Handke is way better than Tokarczuk... Actually the he's the best choice of the century, hands down... Also Fosse (who predictably won) is clearly the superior of the two Norwegians; plus, he's got a more cohesive output.

"... treats Africa as an entire entity." Africa "hasn't shown proof that they are worth it."
Your opinion on Africa is funny, you see, and that's the problem.

I think you misunderstood him. Your second quote isn't accurate. He was criticizing the Prize's handling of Africa, saying that the Nobel committee hasn't proven that the committee doesn't perceive Africa as a single entity.
