It's hard to not use that finger because I play electric guitar. It stops hurting sometimes though. Actually it just recently started to stop hurting, but last Friday I was playing guitar and then about ten minutes later I realized my finger was bleeding. My guitar teacher (I'm thirteen years old so don't judge me) said that his finger hurts sometimes. But I actually got a comment from someone else saying that my finger will get used to that.
I had Blasko on my college radio show back when he was promoting The Death Riders, which at this stage was still called "The Death Rays." Great record. He described it as "rockabilly Metallica" and then laughed at how lame that sounded. It's like heavy, spooky southern metal. Cool stuff.
yeah actualy u made a pretty decent point.its a mix of between drums and guitar.the bass guitar usualy goes with some sort of smililar sequence with the drums bt the same pich and notes as the guitar
Thanks for the advise. And I do play high. Have you ever seen John 5 stand up and play? That's exactly how high I play. And I can't play low anyways so...yeah. But thanks though.
@natrockskate Somebody isn't classically trained. Dude, the only reasons guitarists tune down is because it makes certain CHORDS easy to play. Yes, guitars do get heavier too. That's another reason. But, basses are ALREADY heavy in the sonic spectrum. Plus, they tend to sound like ass when tuned down. PRIME EXAMPLE, Fieldy from korn's bass (Not playing, the bass itself) sounds like ass because he tunes down to A which is ridiculously low.
lol at the scrolling 0's, 3's and 5's. if you can't figure that out by ear put the instrument down. certainly not the best example of what he is capable of doing.

I am not that educated on bass guitars because I don't have one yet. Is the bass like the guitar version of drums or what's the purpose of it?

Wearing finger picks might help. Or you can use a regular pick.

bass is a guitar with a lower octave it is nothing like the drums. but you cant learn to play bass through guitar because the 2 are way different
@espltd12 That is so true
...Why the hell would you tune down a bass?
