Literally got one of these about an hour ago for my 20th. It made my eyes tear up a slight bit, felt like a hard pinch with some pressure. Really not that bad at all honestly. Weirdest part is getting used to the feeling of the metal and it’s movement within the lip. But overall, love this piercing and I’m so happy that I got it
I decided to get this because I didn't wanna damage my gums, I fell in love with it because of its look. yes, it stung a bit more than my other piercings, but really it wasn't bad at all, it's pretty easy. first weeks eating/drinking takes some getting used to, but after it's healed it's not a problem anymore at all! I love it :D
I wish I'd have done the vertical lip instead of the labret years ago. That labret jacket my teeth and gums bad. Love how this piercing looks. Good vid.
How many of your teeth got damaged? Only the ones where the piercing is placed or does it affect the rest of the teeth? I really want to get a side labret but i am concerned about that subject!
@@andreavalentinaperez2734 I had one on my right side for about 5 years, the only tooth and gum damage came from when I used to play with it. Once it's healed, switch to a shorter bar or ring so that it doesn't make contact. And resist all urges to play with it
I had my lebret done from 2015-2018 and I ended up having to take it out because it started eroding the gum on one of my teeth, I just got the vertical lip done yesterday!
i LOVE my vertical labret! it was like a 7/10 on the pain scale, but healing was easy! just carried a silicone straw with me everywhere until it felt fine enough to drink straight from a cup/bottle:)
This is my favorite piercing I have. The most odd thing I've experienced is I've actually caught the top ball in the straw holes when going to drink from a straw
Got my vertical labret done today, it was amazing. Just felt like a blood test. Ached for 20 mins after, but the pain was totally worth it. It looks gorgeous too
I got mine done yesterday. I think I underestimated the pain a lot lmaooooo According to my experience, this one is a painful one. The point where it pierces your actual lip hurts A LOT and the feeling of it is extremely weird. But once the jewellry is in and you get to look at yourself in the mirror, you forget about that and just see how beautiful it looks on you!
I always watch your vids before choosing what piercing i want. youre very good at explaining information in a more interesting way! love how passionate you are about piercings. Happy Holidays!
I initially wanted to get a Medusa but ended up going for a vertical labret specifically because of the reasons you listed (damage to teeth & gums). The piercing process itself was so fast and the pain was minimal. I actually got my tragus jewelry replaced that same day and my vertical labret piercing was considerably less painful than the changing of the tragus jewelry. I also was pleasantly surprised with how non intrusive to eating & talking it was. So much so that I’ve had to remind myself that I have a healing piercing when eating things like burgers & sandwiches. Overall, I love it and would absolutely recommend it to people!
it’s been such an immediate better time than having my medusa. getting the medusa sent me into shock from how bad the pain was, but with this i only got slight cold sweats about 20 minutes after (i didn’t have much to eat that day so that’s definitely why). the healing process of the medusa was the worst cause of it being inside the mouth. mouthwash after anything besides water was the biggest pain, and not being able to smoke was just annoying cause im a major stoner. obv i wouldn’t recommend someone smoke with any mouth piercing, but because it’s not inside the mouth if smoke is zero’d out and you exhale just air you should be ok. also having the disc inside my mouth wasn’t uncomfortable, but when i ate and felt it rub on my teeth i couldn’t help but shiver at the thought of my teeth being shaved down 😮. so while i loved my medusa (even though i had to take it out cause of embedding) this is by far my favorite piercing i have ever gotten.
My all time favorite piercing and the first one I got when I ventured beyond my ears. I've had it for... Almost 17 years and I love it sooo much, I will never take it out!
Yes, very easy! It didn't take long and it wasn't very painful. I also didn't have much swelling. Just keep it clean and make sure the balls on your jewelry stay nice and tight! I still have it now. It's never given me a problem but I will say that it will close up if you don't keep jewelry in it. I got it pierced at a 14g and I left the jewelry out for a few weeks once. I couldn't get the 14 back through so I had to downsize to a 16. I like the 16 better so it worked out but don't mess around leaving your jewelry out unless you are done with the piercing!
just got this done yesterday (my first piercing actually) and i braced myself for something super painful but i would say it’s like a 5-6/10 so it wasn’t THAT bad! my lip swelled just a tad bit and it’s easy to take care of!! i recommend this piercing!!!
I had a bad habit of biting my lip whenever I focused on anything, and I got my piercing a couple weeks ago and the healing process has been the easiest out of any of my piercings. The pain is super super minimal and as long as you're doing all the basic stuff it will be fine, I highly recommend.
This was honestly the least painful piercing I have ever had by far. I didn't even feel the needle going in, and on its way out it just felt like when you split your lip when its really chapped. (For reference, I have had my tragus done, septum done twice and my nostrils 6 times.) The healing with the crusties is definitely a really big issue, you have to hurry and clean it after every meal or you're going to have a bad time. I hated going out to eat during the healing phase because I couldn't just run and spray it down quick like at home. And I completely agree about the drinking issues - I had to relearn how to drink from a cup after, I was just constantly dribbling everywhere lol
This may be a stupid question with an obvious answer but he mentioned the Spicy food problem, does that last forever or only during the healing process? I can’t imagine it would bc of the amount of people who’d have to deal with that but I also can’t help but wonder if hot sauce would get inside the hole and cause irritation..
@@ellie2706 no bc its healed then, even after u heal ur piercing u shpuld still clean it from time to time. i dont have it but i dont think spicy food AFTER IS HEALED is a problem at all. ofc if ANYTHING gets in the hole then clena it at some point
@@ellie2706 you’re welcome :) i just got my eyebrow done yesterday and I love it so much, hopefully I can get the vertilge labret soon. pls let me know how it goes!
I just got mine today and I love it so much. For me it was painful but I just breathed through it and it was so worth it. ☺️ I also told my piercer about you and it turns out she's been following you since she first started training.
I got this piercing done 3 weeks ago and I absolutely LOVE it! Yes it did hurt but afterwards I was totally fine and my lip was swollen for two days. Eating and drinking were a bit awkward at first especially if you're eating something messy. I'd say the worst thing about it though is having chapped lips. I've gotten used to it but the first few days were annoying.
got it done last week and thought id come back to this video just to say that it was probably my least painful piercing(hurt as much as my eyebrow which i barely felt). its healing pretty nicely, and its not uncomfortable which i was afraid of. for the first few days i had trouble w eating bigger things like sandwiches but if i sliced then into smaller parts rhat would fit into corners of my mouth then it was fine lol . so i definitely recommend if anyones thinking of getting it!!! looks sooo good on everyone
@@baphometdollasylum sorry for a late reply LOOL it took me abt like 3 weeks to comfortably eat bigger stuff! and stuff like smiling or talking etc doesnr make it hurt at all so dw!
I got this done yesterday and I am IN LOVE with it! Immediately when I saw myself in the mirror after the piercer was done I literally went “Oh my god that’s so cute!” As for the pain, it honestly wasn’t as bad as I expected. Felt like I was being pinched super hard.
Think I'm going tomorrow and getting mine done 😁😁😁😁 Update! Got it done about 10 ish hours ago and am in LOVE WITH IT!!!! It didn't hurt that bad. Worst part was it going through the top of my bottom lip..hasn't bothered me at all..not even any stinging or anything. If you're thinking about getting it....DO IT
I used to have my labret pierced about 12 years ago, I took it out because it rubbed on my teeth and cut my inner lip, and I couldn't' stand it! I've been thinking about getting the vertical labret for a few years now, and I think I better just go and get it done already!! 😆 I really appreciate the pain meters you do on your videos, it's really helpful with what's to expect with the piercing. Also, I love your channel!! I appreciate all the info and wisdom you have about piercings. Keep being rad!
I have this piercing and honestly I would highly recommend it! Best looking piercing u can get in my opinion. Least painful piercing I’ve ever done, and it heals super quickly if u take care of it. It is going to feel super weird the first couple of days. It feels like u have something on your lip all the time and eating and drinking is going to be really strange and kind of difficult. But u get used to it really fast honestly. Had mine for like 6 years and I don’t even realize I have it most of the time because it is just a part of my face now. The rare occasions where I have taken it out it feels really strange and like something’s missing
I just got this piercing bout a month ago. I love it!! The only painful part was when it went through my lip. Once it was done just let out a sigh and went on with life. I can say that if you want one go get it. It's like 2 piercings in one.
This is a great video. You really helped ease my mind because I'm on day 4 of healing and it was looking crooked. Also, my piercing artist claimed that this one almost always rejects in 5 years and I have absolutely never heard of that.
Thank you for this video! I've seen it around 6 times and got it pierced today! My piercer was a Wonder! We have good energy together, talked flr a bit, moved placement back and forth and finally settled on the spot. After I laid down on a semi-raised bed-thing, with The Man by The Killers on in the background, and he pierced it, bottom up with a 16g and no clamps (to reduce swelling they said). It barely hurt, really like a 3/10. It was funny because I thought it would hurt way more from the comments! I also watched the Pros and Cons video on this piercing by DaVo as well. Thank you both!
This was one of my least painful piercings ! At least for me the regular lip piercings actually hurt slightly more, and took a little more time to heal. But everyone is different
This video convinced me to get this! I got it week and a half ago. My piercer pierced from the bottom up unlike some process videos I have seen where they pierce from the top down, and it didn't hurt at all. In fact, it felt kind of good, like I was scratching an itch. Mine also did not swell up at all, and it became practically painless within a couple days. My septum and earlobes (the only other piercings I've had) hurt worse. I'm probably an outlier in all this. I love how it looks and can't wait to downsize! :)
this piercing was my most painful, hurt so so much, however it’s my absolute favourite! it would’ve taken a couple months to heal had i not gotten stuff in it. definitely stay away from kissing and other stuff w ur partner for a bit
It was my most painful one as well! Everyone saying it didn't hurt and I'm like whattttt?? Lol I just got it done 4 days ago and didn't think it'd hurt at all. I have my nose and nipples done so I thought this one would be a breeze but definitely hurt worse than the others I have. And it hurt for a couple hours after. But healing has been going great so far.
ive been considering this piercing for years, finally gonna get it done nxt month. i have a pouty lip so i know it wld fit my anatomy!!! very excited for the fun jewellery options
Just got mine done I know this vid is old but when i got it done it hurt 4/10 the swelling and soreness “hurt” a bit more. My septum hurt a lot more then this piercing. If you’re thinking about getting it, get it!! 100% love it
I got this piercing months ago and safe to say, this is the most painful piercing I have. I have 20 piercings and this one was even worse than my nipple piercings. But after a week the bruising and swelling went away and I'm absolutely in love with it ever since I got it. Drinking was a bit funny but I got used to it after a while :))
got my vertical done about 2 months ago now, it’s healing well, kinda irritated at the minute but i’m not worried!!! got my eyebrow done in that time too, super good healing so far! getting my septum next!
my face seems to be an even split, one half favors my mothers features and the other half is my father. my piercer always makes sure to explain the anatomy she's seeing on me, and she pierces me based off that, while also trying to keep me as symmetrical as possible. she's fantastic, and i don't mind that i'm not perfectly balanced, it's unique. this piercing seems like it might be my next one, i hope she's able to line me up properly!
I've had mine for a year now and it's one of my favorite piercings! the healing process for me was a bitch, but once it fully healed I had no problems! and the pain for the actual piercing was like 4/10 not bad at all! and you can forget about biting into an apple ever again haha
@@jessicam.3925 year later from this post and I took mine out as well lol it started to get really annoying. This piercing really stops you from doing your daily things, I loved it but the annoyance and constantly cleaning it wasnt worth it after awhile lol
In case anyone else reads this comment, I've had my piercing like 4 ish years and you just have to be conscious of how you're eating for a little while, it eventually becomes instinctual. I've only had a couple times where I bit down on it by accident but it was never enough to cause damage or anything, that's something that will stop happening after you've had it in for a while.
I just got mine done a few days ago and it was one of the easiest piercings I’ve ever gotten. There was little to no pain. Swelling was only for a day and even that wasn’t bothersome. I love it!
Finally got mine for my birthday a week ago. The swelling is pretty much gone now. It didn’t hurt getting pierced. It felt like a really weird sensation, not painful. No regrets!!! I love it.
Had my vertical labret for over 5 years now, no problems. I'm always worried about it rejecting or migrating but at this point I hope it should be okay 😅 I prefer to use flat ends on the top so that they don't stick out as much. Pain-wise about a 6, definitely not as bad as my medusa (but, er, I fainted when I got my medusa so that's not saying much). I always match my vertical labret and medusa jewelry, it ends up looking really neat 😁
I got this piercing. Few days ago. The only pain was during the piercing and I’d rate the pain a 5.5/10. There’s literally no pain afterwards and I didn’t get any swelling.
@@baphometdollasylum Hiyya love. Nope no ice. I do know some people have swelling though but i never really get inflammation with piercings but might help to take some ibuprofen afterwards.
One of my favorite piercings so far. Drinking with a straw is so much easier, when you have one ;) LOL I´m wearing a barbell with a disc ( 3mm, 4mm was a little to much ) on the top. On the bottom a ball, most times a silver one. Saw this one day and this makes things so much easier too.
I know this video is super old BUT I got my piercing almost 3 months ago! I first saw it on Pinterest, looked at reviews on RUclips! It’s so darn cute 🥰 I’m in love! Btw I’ll be 42 soon so don’t let anyone tell you, you’re too old for this! I can’t wait to change it!!!!
actually got mine a few weeks ago and ended up here, glad I'm not alone lol! hurt pretty good but i agree.. it's soo pretty. i recommend anyone to go for it :)
Have had one for 2 years now and it's just great. The first two weeks or so my beads would come undone all the time but now i know to tighten harder and haven't had the issue since! It was not badly painful, was done in 30 seconds anyway and only really stung for the first few days, healed really well barely swelled up.. really neat Agreed on what you said about customization as well, having a ton of fun with beads, i have a tiny lizard one that i adore
Got mine yesterday and it definitely hurt a bit towards the end. They went from top to bottom. I bled quite a bit but overall the pain was 7/10. I’ve had a few other face piercings and I think this one hurt less than my septum but more than a normal lip piercing. Definitely a painful one. My artist took the time to map the symmetry of my face and I’m so happy with the placement 😊
Got mine done 13 days ago and I love it. Healing nicely with minimal problems so far. People around me think I'm strange and too old for it. Being 33 and a guy, I don't care. I'll be putting in a spike or a black ring once it heals. If you want to get it done, do it. Honestly it's not painful at all, just take the aftercare seriously and you'll have no problems. 🤘
I just got this piercing last weekend & I was surprised it didn't hurt I barely blinked 😂& it didn't swell up much at all it was mostly numb only in the center...pain like 2/10 quick healing process 🔥
I decided I wanted this piercing a while back because of the teeth and gum issues with other lip piercings and was happy to hear that you can't eat super spicy food while they're healing - i don't deal well with super spicy food so when i get it i can look like less of a wimp and more like i'm taking care of my cool body mod
Thank you 💗 this helped sm I just got mine I knew the basics of what to do but I was just getting nervous about the healing process your videos always make me feel better
I’ve had mine for almost 16 yrs! Still remember getting it done. Little more memorable in the painful side compared to other piercings. Do able. Healing was pretty smooth. It is definitely my favorite piercing. I’ve tried taking it off a few times but I’m just now me with out it, ya know?
Got mine done a few months ago! Absolutely adore it! I downsized to an eyebrow piercing with a little heart on top and it fits snugly, absolutely perfect! This video was actually what convinced me to do it and I've loved it since. I do have trouble with thicker lip gloss sometimes because it can get stuck underneath the top part, but overall it's been an absolute breeze (I had my nostril pierced the same day and that actually hurt more throughout the healing process).
I've had the vertical lip twice now , it's my fave piercing I currently have, though it hurt way more than any of my other piercings (nips,Monroe, brow, belly, nose)
I have had mine since the 7th of April, I have loved it since day one. I love it and it healed very fast. My first piercing definitely getting piercings.
i have this piercing and i LOVE IT!! the only time my beads have come undone are when i have been playing with it - my fault! drinking for the first couple days was hard, so was brushing my teeth... that was painful! but it completely healed in a couple weeks and i never even cleaned it (my piercings heal better when left completely alone)
I legit thought I was the only one who heals better if I just don’t do anything to it. I know they recommend the saline spray stuff but honestly it causes me more discomfort. I’ve had a bunch of piercings and the ones I left completely alone healed a lot faster.
I got my VL done 5 days ago and it hurt like a bitch. Mainly because it's a slow piercing do to the soft and squishy tissue of the lip. I definitely don't regret it though. By far one of my favorite piercings to date❤
Got mine done 3 weeks ago. Pain level was about 6/10. I’ve also had snake bites done in high school. This one hurt more. But I also got my tongue pierced the same day, before the vertical labret. Because I’ve had my tongue pierced about three times prior, I was able to handle it. But if you’ve never done your tongue before and you wanted to both the same time I’d recommend not to because both your tongue and lip is gonna be swollen for a few days - week. Looks so cute! But I’m still scared of it being rejected and I’m also scared to change it in about three more weeks 😅
I really wish I could get this piercing, I think it's so rad and I love that it doesn't damage teeth and gums like a regular labret! Unfortunately I don't have the lip for it, so regular labret it is. Good thing I have a great piercer, so I'm not too worried

When I got my lip done! It didn’t hurt at all tho there was a pop when needle was going through but! No pain at all and I’m a big baby when it comes to pain I’m a baby ahah but I definitely recommend! Soo good and pretty 😍
I miss my vertical labret so much! I've had it twice. The first time, it got caught on the lace hem of my bedspread when it was still new and pulled sideways. That caused it to heal crooked, so I took it out and eventually got it re-pierced. The second time I had it, I developed a nervous habit of playing with the jewelry and it started rejecting, so I took it out again. I'd like to try it one more time if possible, maybe at a 14g instead of a 16g. I now have seven lip piercings (three on the top and four on the bottom), but the vertical labret was my favorite. Even my 80+ year old Pentecostal grandma loved it!
got mine in the beginning of september and absolutely in love with it :) also mine literally neverr swelled up! i’ve been wanting this piercing for a while now and just said fuck it because why not! i saw some people saying that the pain wasn’t that bad but for me it hurt really bad getting- it wasn’t a “smooth quick” piercing to get honestly. i would say about 7 out of 10. it really didn’t hurt after initially getting it. you just have to get used to it, which really isn’t that bad getting used to. if i had to, i would do it again for sure!😊
I’m gotta get it tomorrow and I’m so excited , I’ve wanted it for a long time now so I’m super anxious yet happy !!! Update: I just got it done and omg it didn’t hurt at all I love it Pain: 2/10
I got mine done in 2004 and still have it. Back then it was just called a vertical 😅 I actually just rinsed my mouth with water. I only drink water and tea so didn’t have a problem with mine. Didn’t use anything but water and rinse. No crusties either.

I couldn't get the 14 back through so I had to downsize to a 16. I like the 16 better so it worked out but don't mess around leaving your jewelry out unless you are done with the piercing!
Do you find kissing any different?
@@ruletterouge no, not really!
@@mistyarcher802 thank u 🖤
just got this done yesterday (my first piercing actually) and i braced myself for something super painful but i would say it’s like a 5-6/10 so it wasn’t THAT bad! my lip swelled just a tad bit and it’s easy to take care of!! i recommend this piercing!!!
I had a bad habit of biting my lip whenever I focused on anything, and I got my piercing a couple weeks ago and the healing process has been the easiest out of any of my piercings. The pain is super super minimal and as long as you're doing all the basic stuff it will be fine, I highly recommend.
I’m 40 and my kids and husband don’t want me to get it. They say I’m to old but thank you for this video
get that dang piercing girl! you're never too old to have fun 😆
46th birthday...Its a gift to myself 😂
You're never too old to have style
i hate that mentality:( You’re only halfway through ur life, you are extremely far from being too old! Go get it girl!!
GO FOR IT!! 😁
This was honestly the least painful piercing I have ever had by far. I didn't even feel the needle going in, and on its way out it just felt like when you split your lip when its really chapped. (For reference, I have had my tragus done, septum done twice and my nostrils 6 times.)
The healing with the crusties is definitely a really big issue, you have to hurry and clean it after every meal or you're going to have a bad time.
@@kai1ey ty for the info! Booked & getting it done tomorrow, will be sure to keep it clean :))
@@ellie2706 you’re welcome :) i just got my eyebrow done yesterday and I love it so much, hopefully I can get the vertilge labret soon. pls let me know how it goes!
Why did your nostril done for 6 times??
Hi how long did it take for you to be able to actually eat a whole sandwich? Also does it hurt when you smile hard or anything ?
@@baphometdollasylum sorry for a late reply LOOL it took me abt like 3 weeks to comfortably eat bigger stuff! and stuff like smiling or talking etc doesnr make it hurt at all so dw!
ur kidding i feel like this is a troll i got my eyebrow and i felt nothing but to say it’s the same pain level as going through the top of ur lip?
I got this done yesterday and I am IN LOVE with it! Immediately when I saw myself in the mirror after the piercer was done I literally went “Oh my god that’s so cute!”
As for the pain, it honestly wasn’t as bad as I expected. Felt like I was being pinched super hard.
Got mine a week ago and it hurt a lot but didn't swell at all and the healings been great, no pain, no problems. I love it🥰
I'm getting this piercing tomorrow for my birthday and I'm so excited but also anxious haha
How is it
It's good I got it pierced and it's fully healed and I'm happy with it lol
@@sierradaily1197 aww that’s good I got mine done about 3 hours ago and I can’t wait for it to heal
It's gonna take three month to heal so good luck kiddo
@@sierradaily1197 lol thank youuu ❤️❤️
Think I'm going tomorrow and getting mine done 😁😁😁😁
Update! Got it done about 10 ish hours ago and am in LOVE WITH IT!!!! It didn't hurt that bad. Worst part was it going through the top of my bottom lip..hasn't bothered me at all..not even any stinging or anything. If you're thinking about getting it....DO IT
Got this piercing today and your video was super helpful and reassuring. Thanks!
Most pain I've ever experienced in my life, but so easy to heal. I've had if for 5 years and love it
You haven’t had a very rough life lol
@@Msheary88 this was a really weird thing to say
I’m getting mine done tomorrow and this is definitely the best video I’ve seen on it ❤️
I just got this piercing bout a month ago.
Got this piercing few days ago! I absolutely love it and it looks good with my septum. Did hurt a bit, but nothing I can't handle hehe
Got this piercing for 9 years ago and still have it ☺️ Love this piercing ❤️ Didn't hurt at all 😉
Thank you for this video!
I've had mine for 10 years now and it's still my favorite piercing.
when I got this piercing it felt like I was getting my mouth sewn shut, weirdest sensation but I absolutely love it.
this piercing was my most painful, hurt so so much, however it’s my absolute favourite! it would’ve taken a couple months to heal had i not gotten stuff in it. definitely stay away from kissing and other stuff w ur partner for a bit
Got to say ..."love how you put together your videos!!"....very informative and thorough!!
Just got mine done I know this vid is old but when i got it done it hurt 4/10 the swelling and soreness “hurt” a bit more. My septum hurt a lot more then this piercing. If you’re thinking about getting it, get it!! 100% love it
Another one I've had for about 8 years and I absolutely adore it 🖤
I got this piercing months ago and safe to say, this is the most painful piercing I have.
Oh noes, I actually love biting apples and I got my piercing out because suddenly I wasn't able anymore!
@@Bevlepcan you see a scar?
Hi did you take anything or still hold ice there? With my Medusa anti inflammatory and ice didn’t help much and it still swole for days
@@baphometdollasylum Hiyya love. Nope no ice. I do know some people have swelling though but i never really get inflammation with piercings but might help to take some ibuprofen afterwards.
love your channel and your charisma! thanks for the quality content!
Thanks for watching!
I just got this one earlier today! So far I LOVE how it looks on me!
One of my favorite piercings so far. Drinking with a straw is so much easier, when you have one ;) LOL
I´m wearing a barbell with a disc ( 3mm, 4mm was a little to much ) on the top. On the bottom a ball, most times a silver one. Saw this one day and this makes things so much easier too.
Why is it easier? I hope i'm going to find out soon since I'm getting one too ^^
i don't know if my lips are plumpy enough 😭😭 i wanna have this piercing sooo bad
Got this one done today! Absolutely in LOVE! It was hard to choose between the Medusa of Vertical but i'm happy with my choice.
@yeah everyone pain tolerance is different. For me personally, I’d give it a 3 and that’s only when the needle went through. Afterwards I was fine lol
Have had one for 2 years now and it's just great. The first two weeks or so my beads would come undone all the time but now i know to tighten harder and haven't had the issue since!
It was not badly painful, was done in 30 seconds anyway and only really stung for the first few days, healed really well barely swelled up.. really neat
Agreed on what you said about customization as well, having a ton of fun with beads, i have a tiny lizard one that i adore
Had mine for a couple of months now, helped super quick and it looks great!
33 isn't old at all for a piercing, people are weird seriously xD
I just got this piercing last weekend & I was surprised it didn't hurt I barely blinked 😂& it didn't swell up much at all it was mostly numb only in the center...pain like 2/10 quick healing process 🔥
I decided I wanted this piercing a while back because of the teeth and gum issues with other lip piercings and was happy to hear that you can't eat super spicy food while they're healing - i don't deal well with super spicy food so when i get it i can look like less of a wimp and more like i'm taking care of my cool body mod
Getting mine tomorrow, hella excited
Thank you 💗 this helped sm I just got mine I knew the basics of what to do but I was just getting nervous about the healing process your videos always make me feel better
I’ve had mine for almost 16 yrs! Still remember getting it done. Little more memorable in the painful side compared to other piercings. Do able.
Healing was pretty smooth.
It is definitely my favorite piercing. I’ve tried taking it off a few times but I’m just now me with out it, ya know?
What is like kissing with it? Any issues?
I love this series of videos! maybe an extra would be a video showing the procedure of the placement of said piercing!
Got this piercing a few days ago. Definitely a little more painful, but so worth it. Love mine
I love my piercing so much and the ping on glasses feels cool
Getting my vertical lip done next Tuesday, can't wait! It's so cute!
How was it? I am thinking of getting one myself!
I'm hoping to get vertical paired lip piercings some day!
I’ve got it booked in! And I’m so excited
The most informative video I was able to find. Thank you! Helped me decide to have it done :)
I really wish I could get this piercing, I think it's so rad and I love that it doesn't damage teeth and gums like a regular labret!
Unfortunately I don't have the lip for it, so regular labret it is. Good thing I have a great piercer, so I'm not too worried
Got this done yesterday I’m in love 🥰
Did it hurt
@@MsPiggy-rd9ky yeah it hurt but it wasn’t too bad, more like a really sharp pinch
@Dayz Dream Do it!!
Got mine done yesterday. So far no post piercing paing and the piercing was not painful either. Not heat or throbbing, just minor swelling. I love it.
as someone with 11 face piercings this one's by far my favourite one I got

I just got mine about 3 weeks ago and I LOVE it… I can’t wait for it to heal haha
I got my vertical labret piercing in January and it didn't hurt or swell... everyone says it suits me well ♥️😃♥️
Pain level: 0
Got mine done 3 days ago it hurt a lot more then my septum😓 I told the piercer I didn’t like her at that moment it gave everyone a laugh😭
gonna get mine this weekend and I can’t wait!!💖
When I got my lip done! It didn’t hurt at all tho there was a pop when needle was going through but! No pain at all and I’m a big baby when it comes to pain I’m a baby ahah but I definitely recommend! Soo good and pretty 😍
This was an easy healing no pain after 2 days lol
My pain was off the charts cause she had so much lip to pierce through. The sound of the needle in my lip was awful, but totally worth it
I actually did my own vertical lip piercing and it did get a bruise but totally worth it ‼️
got mine in the beginning of september and absolutely in love with it :) also mine literally neverr swelled up! i’ve been wanting this piercing for a while now and just said fuck it because why not!
i saw some people saying that the pain wasn’t that bad but for me it hurt really bad getting- it wasn’t a “smooth quick” piercing to get honestly. i would say about 7 out of 10. it really didn’t hurt after initially getting it. you just have to get used to it, which really isn’t that bad getting used to. if i had to, i would do it again for sure!😊
I’m gotta get it tomorrow and I’m so excited , I’ve wanted it for a long time now so I’m super anxious yet happy !!!
Update: I just got it done and omg it didn’t hurt at all I love it
Pain: 2/10
I got mine done in 2004 and still have it. Back then it was just called a vertical 😅 I actually just rinsed my mouth with water. I only drink water and tea so didn’t have a problem with mine. Didn’t use anything but water and rinse. No crusties either.
Your piercing has my age xD
i just got mine pierced and wow? it really really didn't hurt as much as i thought it would, it hurt about the same as my septum. didn't even flinch, the worst part was putting the jewelry in. i recommend it!! it looks awesome
I'm getting mine done on Wednesday!! how did the healing process go? I'm not nervous about the piercing, but some people said the healing process was a pain, im worried about that 😭 !!
@@rrosemae j haven’t had a lot of problems with it, just a bump (which was probably because i fidgeted with it too much) which went away after like a week. it was super swollen at first and it looked like i got punched in the lip, but it went down after a while :) i didn’t think the healing was too bad!!
