- You can park at Crystal Pier for free after Oct 31st for areas that should cost a fee during the normal busy season. They will start charging again starting April 1st. Piers near by are Surf City Pier, Sea View Pier, Johnnie Mercer, and Kure Beach Pier. DONT park at the restaurant or you will be towed/ticketed unless you are dining there.

Do you see whiting and drums in OCT and Nov every year or was it unusual? Is it best on Rt side of the pier? I thought everything was traveling to the South and normally fishing the left side. Please let me know your experience. I haven't ben to that pier YET.
Ya normally left side they follow the gulf stream. Same thing applies to all piers especially bogue inlet/mercer, surf city pier. But for some reason that day was different. Yup they run around then migrating. In Florida i get them in dec jan too. I follow them 😂
If you ever make it back down that area try Carolina beach especially under snow's cut bridge or ft fisher.
I know about both place but didnt have the time to go. I dont like snagging at snow cuts either. Also that other video wasnt NC
