      Absolutely. Funny as Dana said the more we spend under the Forester, the more she's ready to replace her. We have another big one we're working on recording right now for it though. Looking forward to getting yours back down here one day.

    Thanks for this video. I just ordered a new Olympic, which appears to be the same lift just in a different color; and yes, my concrete is only about 3.5" so I will be needing to do the same floor "upgrade" before it arrives. 😞

      Hi Phillip. Thank you very much for watching and sharing. We really appreciate that. Congrats on your upcoming lift. Exciting stuff. Sorry to hear about your concrete thickness though. A viewer on our concrete episode mentioned something about spanning plates or load spreading plates that could help without having to redo the concrete. I'm not familiar with them and I don't regret ripping ours up to do it right but it's interesting nevertheless. Come back and let us know how your install went and how you're enjoying your lift. Cheers!

    Glad to see that big project in action. I know that will make future mechanical projects easier. Volume of this video is a little low for old folks like me. Still, a great job showing and explaining. See you next time.

      Sure will. Thanks for the feedback on the volume. I'll be sure to to raise it higher in the next one.

      Lol. Yeah, his 6'+ frame helps but it can be done without the height as well. Thank you for watching.

    How do you like the medal plate alone the floor?? I've worked in shops for 35+yrs and the plate got in the way of the trans jack,I hated it
    I'll be installing a lift soon and It will have all cables/lines up top. Thanks for all the great info.

    • @SpiritedWrenchers
      @SpiritedWrenchers  Год назад

      Hi Transmissionman. Thanks for watching and asking. It's a great question. With this being our first lift, plus we had two things we had to consider, 1:budget and height restrictions. With our shop, the trusses wouldn't allow us to have the version of lift you're talking about plus it was a little more on the price side too. When we move to a new shop, will be building the shop to ensure we can go with the top line model. Initially having the bottom wasn't a concern but now with having to push our classic cars over that hump after pulling the motors and such, it sucks. LOL. Good luck with your lift and have many years of safe operation of it.

    wondering if the plate between could be recessed smooth to floor,w steel plate,like a channel for cables

      HI Mark. Thanks for watching and asking. We appreciate it. I guess you probably could if done correctly. The only pause I would have is that it could jeopardize the concrete by the posts. If done correctly and reinforced, it might work.

    Would you still recommend titan? I'm trying to choose one. Did you have a "top three" you considered? I just don't want to buy one that's not good quality. I've waited far too long to mess up now and buy one im disappointed in. Thank you for the video.

    • @SpiritedWrenchers

      Hi Jake. Thanks for watching and asking. We appreciate. We still love the lift. Have had to adjust the locking bar cable but other than that, no issues at all and have been using it almost non-stop since installing it. As far as others that we considered, Bendpack, Challenger & Rotary are some but are also pretty common when anyone is looking at lifts. The price of the others were just too far out of my budget and considering we could pick ours up and install it ourselves when that was not an option for the others, it was a no brainer. Hope that helps and we wish you luck on your decision.

    Did you use epoxy on the anchor bolts before you drove them in? Just curious if it should be done or not?

    • @SpiritedWrenchers
      @SpiritedWrenchers  2 года назад

      HI Chevy. Thank you for watching and asking. We appreciate that. We didn't use any epoxy as the manual didn't recommend it and from what I saw with other installs, they simply used the bolts and anchors. Hope that helps. Cheers!
