Welp, I’ve seen Kraven the Hunter. The rumored end to the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters / Spider-Man villains corner of moviedom. And I’d held out hope to the very end. Especially after enjoying each trailer more than the last. Then even moreso after being impressed by the NYCC footage and Aaron Taylor Johnson and JC Chandor’s passion for the Marvel adjacent project. But here we are. My first thoughts and non-spoiler reaction.

Kraven the Hunter is a 2024 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Directed by J. C. Chandor from a screenplay by Richard Wenk, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, the film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven the Hunter, alongside Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe. Produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel Entertainment, it is the sixth and final installment in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU).[4][5] The film explores Kraven's complex relationship with his father and his path to becoming the greatest hunter.
