Warren Moon, was a extremely accurate quarterback, with a very strong arm, and he was a very intelligence player; who understood the game at the highest level!!! The GREAT Warren Moon
In 46 years I have never seen a prettier spiral then from Warren Moon. I absolutely loved watching this man compete, that debacle against the Bills in the 4th still hurts when I think about it.... Go Raiders!!!
Bro, I will NEVER forget that game. They lost up in NY. Being an Oilers fan = eternal suffering. I grew up right down the street from the House of Pain....It still STANDS as far as I know (dont live there anymore). Nevertheless, all of thw memories, the victories and the defeats live in my heart and mind as if they happened yesterday.
@@archonmarch3965 Ive always been a Raiders fan first and a football fan second. The Oilers were fun to watch, the run and shoot was exciting and Warren Moon was the perfect QB for that system. Im glad I was around to watch him, be proud of those teams my friend.
Good teaching, Moon should be a QB coach. I was taught by a pretty good QB coach who is now in NCAA football (can’t remember the team) as a QB. I was taught some of these but here’s another tip for QBs if you still have trouble reading the coverage pre-snap. If you’re still not sure, when you snap the ball, look downfield at the safety’s (if two of them). If not drop back it’s more likely man and you should look to dump. Next you should read the Mike. If he plots down or inches forward, it’s a zone coverage, next read is a corner to see if it’s 2 or 3. Always worked for me.
@@gridiron8870 well if it’s a 2 coverage CBs will either come forward or drift in their zone. If they start to back pedal right off the snap (This being if the CBs are off of course. Press coverage is a bit harder to read) then you’re looking at a cover 3. This is what I’ve learned from highschool coaching. Never went NCAA in any division but I’m sure it’s the same but they probably mix it up to try and confuse you. High school isn’t that disciplined to pull off the mixes, at least when I played it wasn’t lol
im a 12 year old qb and i wanna learn this. I wanna start of with a simple question....What is the best routes to run against a man coverage and against a zone coversge
Indeed he would with today’s rule changes he probably would throw for 550 to 600 per game because back in his day Houston was flying high they were the original greatest show on turf
I thought the same thing, I'm pretty sure it is, It's one thing for people to look like someone, but he has the same build and same mechanics and even same type of body language.
