Thematically as far as Y5 goes Aizawa is the best final boss there could have been; he symbolizes the themes of the game perfectly; he's basically the Haruka of the antagonists. Also helps that he's one hell of a final boss.
The best choreography, best theme, and hype as fuck? It literally doesn't even matter that him being there makes almost no fucking sense whatsoever because his fight is just soooo fucking cool.

Pretty sure she kinda pressured herself into it because she thought it could help the other kids, and take a load off of Kiryu. It wasn't going to be sustainable. In my eyes, it's good that she quit.

Without a doubt my favorite boss theme in Yakuza so far. Imagine fighting someone who basically forced himself to the peak of his power, has an advantage because of your bullet wound, and STILL winning in the end I love Kiryu

If you're gonna take that stance of argument then why should we give a damn about 95% of fictional media just because we know that the outcome is that the protagonists will win? What matters is how it plays out for the characters. In this case even though Kiryu won the fight, immediately after he goes to jail for 3 years for sticking his neck out for the Tojo Clan which causes many of the complications that set in motion Yakuza 6. So even though Kiryu always wins fights, he loses in different ways that hurt him, his friends, and his loved ones more.

After dozens of hours of conspiracies, twists, crazy planning and piles upon piles of corpses… The only thing that arises from the ashes is a strong but naive young goon with nothing more than a dream in his heart. Aizawa absolutely needed some development and screentime, but you could write whole paragraphs about how he fits as the culmination of Yakuza 5’s long chain of narrative fuckery. Bring the man back, I’d say. Oh and this theme is probably, like, top 3 material for the whole yakuza series lol
While Aizawa may not be as skilled as Mine or Ryuji, he might be the strongest final boss in the seires physically. He nearly drove Kiryu to a standstill in their push of war, one handed a giant wooden statue, and sent Kiryu flying with a single kick.
This would’ve been my first yakuza game but it took up a lot of storage space and I didn’t know the characters and story so I decided to wait. Thankfully 0 came out and I played 5 after beating Kiwami, I really enjoy this series, I wish I got into it sooner
@@drewmckee9968 well I beat 3 and 4 thanks to the remasters so I beat all of the yakuza games now. I should’ve mentioned that one I got 5 for free through ps plus and second I didn’t have money or a job at the time so I couldn’t get those games (2, 3 and 4) unfortunately

夢に翻弄され、夢を託して、夢を追い、夢を守り、夢を叶え、っていう色々な形で色々な人物たちが各々の夢を体現していたけど、最後の敵として立ち塞がった黒澤と相沢にも「親として息子に強大な極道の権力を授ける」「純粋な力だけで極道の頂点に立つ」っていうはっきりとした夢があって、手段は歪んでいながらもその夢を目指そうとする熱い意志があったのが感慨深い。

Imo dream by dreamline shouldve played in the final boss fight but I really like the "power of friendship" vibes in this theme. takes me back to 2012.
