I bought this charger on Amazon and it's doing great so far. I like being able to watch the individual cells charge up. I'm taking this charger with me to the races. Thanks for the recommendation!
I'm getting back into the hobby soon (I need to learn about modern chargers). HOLLY CRAP it's Star Trek! I still have a 15 min/trickle charger and a Tekkin DC peak charger from the stone age. I love how things progressed but also stayed the same.
I have this charger and love it. It's easy to figure out and use. My only complaint was mine came with a Chinese power plug, but a old desktop PC power plug I had laying around works just fine. I bought this charger to replace a Venom ProDuo that I absolutely hated.
I've got two of these. 1 for about a year, the other 2-3 months ago. I charge 7c nimh, 2s and 3s lipo 2200-6200mah. Flawless so far-- bought another... I have the non-touch screen model tho....
You kinda just breezed over the part where it automatically picks up your lipos volts. Left us curious. Does it pick up mAh also? Can I can just plug in a lipo and hit start and it'll know everything already? I'm assuming that's why it only have 6 memory slots.
Bought about 3 months ago and everything seemed fine until a couple of weeks ago. It seems CH2 is not charging at the same and/or similar rate at CH1. Takes a LiPo a lot longer to charge and even had a 'safety' timer of 240 minutes initiate the other day. I swap to CH1 and everything seems fine. You have any idea why this is happening and how I might repair it?
How has it been holding up ? Any issues ? I just bought this and waiting for it to arrive. But I see there is alot of issues out there on youtube . Please let me know how yours is holding up. Thanks
I have two of these chargers. I'm trying to charge some really large, 22000mah 6cell batteries. Yeah they're bricks and yeah they'll take 10 hours to charge from fully discharged. This charger doesn't want to read the cell voltages correctly. Sometimes I can get it to accept charging and sometimes not. Channel 1 on one of my chargers refused to read any of my batteries properly. Shows 5Volts! for cell #1 and sometimes #2 and #3 as well. When I try to charge it shows Error! Battery disconnect.
pretty much all chargers have IR values, even the ones at 20 bucks, so certainly not a special feature that is incredible to have in an 85USD charger but one thing is that a charger has internal resistance estimates., another thing is it somewhat accurate, that aspect varies a lot. you should have referred to if it is a good balancing charger, like do it balancing accurate and fast, and do it have a noisy fan, that can literally kill a good charger if it sounds like a jet engine /annoying as fxxx in house). and do this charger cycle-charge, by boost intervals as it could look like briefly on the graph themoment you come back to the graph 5:03 but nahh you dont touch these things, mostly that is can balancecharge and you state the stats, and info most people can see online from specs, its the other things that are vital and were hands-on goes a long way and factors you can bet the maker will not inform about. Saw the newer T400 (dual AC200w / DC 400w) at around 70 USD bucks delivered, but nahh gonna give it a pass for now.. .
Like this a lot eh? Just a little shy on power to do two 4s packs without hooking up to my power supply though. Specs say on 500 mA for "current drain for balancing". Does this mean it will finish balancing a 4s lipo with up to 4amps?
Great video, thanks for posting. In the market for another charger, and the touch screen is sweet. Much better than a mental scroll of a spread sheet type. Have you tried it with 3s 5000 mah?
Recieved one on ebay, turned out to be crap ch1 not working and the cell touch button is blank and not working plus the screen is not centered properly. Hope I can get a replacement

Hey would you recommend getting the non touch screen version? Was wandering if the touch screen would stop working after awhile. Or if it’s just not as good of an interface.

I had one i loved it Amazon Recalled all of HTRC T240 Duo charger for to catch on fire so all those chargers are recalled so you want to look into a refund ASAP
I have found two issues with this charger that I don't understand. Maybe someone can comment and explain what is happening: 1) At 4:13 in the video, watch how the voltage increases after starting the charge then when you switch to your monitor screen they are way off. If you wait a few more seconds, the graph/voltage drops off and appears to show the actual voltage. But there are some artificail values when the charge cycle starts 2) If you look at the cell voltages on the monitor screen with out the main connector plugged in, the voltages are wrong (#1 cell specifically). Any ideas why?
Chris Fulton voltages usually spike temporarily above the “resting voltage” while you are charging, so for instance they usually go above 4.2v/cell towards the end when it’s finishing up and then when it’s done it will be at 4.2v. Same thing when running the car - it sags below the resting voltage and then when you stop, the voltage will be a little bit higher voltage. Not sure I understand your second question, but I guess it doesn’t calculate correctly if the main battery plugs are not connected.
Hi, mine shows the same problem but the dangerous it is that the voltage after 30 seconds of charge is lower than real, the voltage with a multimeter appears 3.90V but the charger measure 3.81, at the end of charge the lipo measure 4,29 V, very dangerous
Hi there wondering if you could help. I have just got this T240. I'm looking to charge a 3000 mah nimh battery. Am I right in guessing I can charge this a 3 amps.? Also how do I know when it is fully charged many thanks.
Question what could this be, I am very lucky this shit me up, so i was playing path of exile at my computer and right next to me I have two lipos 3s batteries charging into storage mode, they was taking ages lipo storage 90 min+ duration, Then I smelt electrical burning, I paniced and I turned off the charger immediately, I am sure I saw a thin layer of smoke, I then quickly unplugged both batteries and placed them into the lipo safe bag and placed them outside under a shelter, after 30 minutes, I tool the charged to my friends garage and tried his power outlet and the charger turns on and functions but I was too worried to charge a battery, I also inspected the charger for any burns which I saw nothing, and I also inspected the two 3s batteries, I saw no damage i.e leakage, puffing of the cells, or burn marks or any damaged wires, does anyone know what this could be ? is this charger still safe to use, perhaps I should check a battery status on one of the batteries with this charger in the morning ? help please many thanks, p.s the charger is the HTRC C240 Duo.
Just purchased and looking for info. Everything I am finding is on Lipo. I use Nimh batteries. Does anyone know if the mAH count is accurate or how it is derived? I am assuming the only thing it counts, is how much it theoretically puts into the battery. So every time it starts to charge, the mAH count starts at 0, 1, 2, 3... which tells me that one can never really know how much mAH the battery actually has and if it is deficient or not, and you will never know where the starting point or ending point for mAH is with any battery it charges. When you cycle, it will list how much mAH it either puts in or takes out, but that figure means nothing for calculating totals. Seeing as you never bring down a battery below a certain volt, does discharging bring down the mAH to zero? Doubt it. So really, this charger, I think, is just counting number according to time for the mAH totals. Sometimes when it lowers the amps counter, the mAH counter still counts at the same pace. If you don't know on a Nimh battery the true mAH, then you have no clue as to the condition of the battery. Is anyone else using Nimh batteries with this charger and concluding something else? Thanks. Razor RC, have you any more info on charging Nimh you can share with us? Thanks.
@@lukestyles2615 Turns out with Nimh batteries, and any charger, all the devices only measure the mAH going into, or being put back into, the battery. Not where it started, nor where it left off. Using temperature, or heat, and how close to hot but not burning hot, is about the only way to know the battery is fully charged. Using the battery to where the device, RC, is noticeable slowing down, then charging, will get you as close as one can to putting back all the mAH back into the battery, and the pack should be really warm. But there really is not a measuring device to say where the battery is prior to, or even after charging.
@@randalqueen5653 o rite thanks.. I have done a cycle charge a discharge followed by a charch. It does tell you how many miah it has taken out. And how much it has put back in.

I bought this charger and the thing no review says that I saw is the fan on this thing is ridiculously loud. Borderline comically loud. It will even run if you plug in the charger and not even have batteries hooked up and just run the fan off and on. Also it has a balance function where it is supposed to just balance cells and when trying to do that on a tiny 350mah battery that is .01 off of each other, it will just constantly run the fan and go up and down, back and forth for literally over an hr before I give up. Not impressed.
