I consider something like this to be extra credit. Especially since they got to complete the ride after originally getting stuck. Good call on the designers for having a backup plan.
Clearly the coaster heard you say the word "rough" and got stage fright, it had to work up the courage to finish the rest of the ride. ;) Very cool video Robb, I never even knew GIBs had that kind of lowering mechanism on the second lift hill as well until seeing this!
Nitro at SFGAdv was AWFUL in July/August I think it was. Something about the way the sun would hit the sensors it would get stuck often going up the lift. Haven't been there in years so don't know if they fixed this or if it still happens.
That would have been like 1984 at that rate and they were about to open that bobsled attraction. Good times none the less. And I am more upset about SFMM getting rid of Condor than Deja Vu lmao
that reminds me of "Hangover" from Liseberg in Sweden! I miss that coaster so much...It's been over 15 years since it got removed and seeing this brings back fond memories :)

This is by far my favourite roller coaster ever. I rode the Madrid's version of it, called "Stunt Fall", which by the way happens to be one of the most if not the most reliable of them all. Currently there are only 4 installed worldwide, this one in China, the Stunt Fall in Madrid, Quantum Leap in Russia and Aftershock in Silverwood. There were two more in six flags new England and six flags over Georgia. The one from SFNE was actually relocated from six flags magic mountain and demolished in 2018 due to being extremely faulty and a maintenance nightmare. The one from SFOG was sold to a Brazilian theme park called Mirabilandia where it resides dismantled in a storage area (which can actually be seen from Google maps), pretty sad if you ask me. Man I freaking love GIB's.
I mean. That's a pretty unique experience. Because it's kind of a historical glitch on these boomerangs. The deja vu at great America did this crap all the time. I was lucky enough to ride it with my dad and friends back in 06 I think.
I got stuck once at Speed of Sound, a boomerang coaster in Walibi Holland. Nothing serious, but the restraints didn't open after the ride was over. Upside was; it was raining at that moment, so we would not get wet of the rain as we were inside.
I remember being stuck on a crazy mouse ride at a fair back in 2016 and we were stuck there for 15 mins I’ve been riding that thing for years whenever the county fair came and it was the first time I got stuck but it wasn’t all bad XD
Been stuck only once, on Tatsu at SFMM. It happened in the station while we were in the 'up/flying' position, so for 15+ minutes I was looking straight down towards the ground. :P
That was literally the first ride I ever got stuck on!! Back in 2016, except it happened before we got back into the station, that experience kinda ruined flying coasters for me sadly, being in that position for that long is nauseating, I have ridden manta as well and didn’t get stuck as long as it was only to let the next train out, but still has kinda deterred me from the model in general, the flying position confuses me cause I’m used to seeing the track at eye level
I got stuck on The Superman in Six Flags Great Adventure years ago for like an hour or so. The ride completed but when we got back to the station the seats wouldn’t come down from the facing down position. Lol very uncomfortable & freezing we went in April but the upside was we were able to skip lines for the rest of our stay, they had us all sign these slips. Lol ah memories
Could be worse. Getting stuck on the first lift hill in the front row would be terrifying. I don't often wait for the front row but on Deja Vu at Magic Mountain I always did. It was worth it
My daughter and I got stuck at the top of a Mondial Windseeker for 45 minutes once... We used to play RCT3 all the time and she was like, "Windseeker 1 has broken down." Then we watched the maintenance guys walk up with their toolboxes and fix it, then we were lowered 325" to earth lol. We thought it was hilarious because just like the game the peeps in the queue just disappeared 😂😂😂
I’ve gotten stuck on the brakes at Medusa 1 1/2 years ago as the ride suddenly stopped. Then after 5 minutes, the ride went again and went a lot slower than normal.
I was stuck on Jurassic Park at Universal Studios Hollywood in around 2013! It happened on the lifthill before the drop and then it climbed again, we reached to the drop and dropped like normal but then when we reached near the unloading station, we got stuck for at least 30 minutes. (as far as I can try to remember)
Got stuck going up the first tower for 30 min, and then like a quarter up the loop for 10 min. Worst part was we were there on the hottest day of the year😅
I got stuck on Nemesis Inferno once in 2018. When the train got to the break run is just stopped dead. We we stuck for about 5 minutes. To make matters worse it was pissing with rain I was sitting on the outside part of the train & not sheltered under the track.
Did that before this ride think some thing is wrong with the sensors or some release mechanism failed to function on it lol takes you back up the tower and then drops the second time
Yeah, the people who designed this ride aren't really known for how quality their rides are. There's only 4 of these left and this one actually breaks down and gets stuck the LEAST. Correction: I forgot that the one at six flags magic mountain closed
This guy = goes on about how this coaster is better quality because it's not Chinese-made Also this guy = Ends up stuck on a coaster he pretty much claimed was perfect
I love the enthusiasm...
"All right, so that counts as half a credit, I guess."
:)
I consider something like this to be extra credit. Especially since they got to complete the ride after originally getting stuck. Good call on the designers for having a backup plan.
That's what my teacher said :-)
"This isn't some chinese knockoff, this is a real vekoma"
*ride breaks 10 seconds later*
I wish there was one in my home park because I'm not going to Idaho just for this ride
Vekoma is Chineese
@@YouTubular1234 no
It's a real Verkorma
@@YouTubular1234 Are you stupid? Vekoma is Dutch.
I think id be more scared being slowly lowered down than being released, lol!
Hey! It’s you!
This giant inverted boomerang was the smoothest I've ever been on. I never thought I would willingly go on a 2nd ride just for fun on one of these.
Clearly the coaster heard you say the word "rough" and got stage fright, it had to work up the courage to finish the rest of the ride. ;)
Very cool video Robb, I never even knew GIBs had that kind of lowering mechanism on the second lift hill as well until seeing this!
Lolz. Only thing I ever got stuck on was "Peter Pan" at Disneyland Paris
Nitro at SFGAdv was AWFUL in July/August I think it was. Something about the way the sun would hit the sensors it would get stuck often going up the lift. Haven't been there in years so don't know if they fixed this or if it still happens.
I got stuck on Universe of Energy at Epcot and had to be evacuated
I do that
I got stuck on the middle of the dropper in Hershey park
We got stuck on "Hyperspace Mountain" also at Disneyland Paris. We were evacuated and were able to walk through the cannon, was great! 😁
I remember getting stuck on Z-Force at SFMM with you waaaaaaaaaay back when. That sucked.
We were probably like twelve! 😂
That would have been like 1984 at that rate and they were about to open that bobsled attraction. Good times none the less. And I am more upset about SFMM getting rid of Condor than Deja Vu lmao
There is no better footage, than stuck on a roller coaster footage! RUclips GOLD right here! It could end up being your #1 watched video! Congrats!
Imagine you did the whole course backward at that speed...the hangtime would be crazy
Yeahh I dont think that would work😂
Anthony Halstead I know I’m not gp lol but still just imagine if it was possible
that reminds me of "Hangover" from Liseberg in Sweden! I miss that coaster so much...It's been over 15 years since it got removed and seeing this brings back fond memories :)

"And we're just being lowered down slooooowly..."
This dude! Hahahahahaha!!!! 🤣
That was weird being stuck on a inverted roller coaster!
Pfft I got stuck on a B&M flying coaster, manta at seaworld
@RainbowRailroadCrossing, really?
The Coasters R Us Series Official Channel
Yeah I had to wait five minutes to get off
On that’s sad.
March 12, 2020 Splash Mountain Broke down 2 hours before closing. It was my first Evac. It was fun :) last ride before the virus.
Its always fun. Sadly I still only got evacuated for practice, also fun but not the same.
1:07 I mean he’s not wrong, they did go backwards
I mean. That's a pretty unique experience. Because it's kind of a historical glitch on these boomerangs. The deja vu at great America did this crap all the time. I was lucky enough to ride it with my dad and friends back in 06 I think.
They have the same ride in silver wood theme parks in idaho
The only time I got actually stuck but wasn’t evacuated was the mansion ride at Magic Kingdom.
There she is, the giant boomerang that gave me a heart attack. 😂
I've ridden a vekoma boomerang, and I will say that the ride breaking halfway through is pretty on brand for early vekoma.
I got stuck once at Speed of Sound, a boomerang coaster in Walibi Holland. Nothing serious, but the restraints didn't open after the ride was over.

I saw the wild mouse at funtown splashtown break down litterally 10 second after I got off the ride

Yes. On September 7, 2019, I got STUCK on The Flash Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom!
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.

i got stuck on antarctica: empire of the penguin at seaworld orlando five times
Could be worse. Getting stuck on the first lift hill in the front row would be terrifying. I don't often wait for the front row but on Deja Vu at Magic Mountain I always did. It was worth it
Omg finally they got stuck on something always wanted to know how they would react
You get extra credit for that ride
OMG! Stuck on a Coaster and nobody passed out? 😲 Deja Vu is a solid ride (who played the 'lost power' prank on you 2?)!
Funny looking stuck.....
Of course you got stuck on one of these. I swear Deja Vu in SFOG would get stuck at least once a day, if it opened at all
Yup...Flight of Fear at Kings Dominion. RIGHT after the take off....😬🤦🏽♀️
My daughter and I got stuck at the top of a Mondial Windseeker for 45 minutes once... We used to play RCT3 all the time and she was like, "Windseeker 1 has broken down." I got block checked on iron dragon at Cedar Point
No way!!!!! I got stuck on manta at seaworld
You got a rollback 😁
that wasn't a rollback lmao, rollbacks are caused by wind and temperature. That was a controlled descent
I’m all about the safety though, glad no one was injured
Got stuck on WInjas at Phantasialand, that was fun tho
Rob what's the counter of you and your team breaking down rides? XD
the truth is that it feels ugly to get stuck on a roller coaster but it's good that everything went well.
I was stuck on Jurassic Park at Universal Studios Hollywood in around 2013! the deja vus are actually not that bad, maybe vekoma's best "classic" rides :D (assuming the newer designs are better)
Inverted Vertical Coaster 1 has broken down.
Inverted Vertical Coaster 1 still hasn't been fixed yet. Check your mechanics and consider organizing them better.
Did that before this ride think some thing is wrong with the sensors or some release mechanism failed to function on it lol takes you back up the tower and then drops the second time
I got stuck on the final brake run on ThunderHawk (Vekoma SLC) at Michigan's Adventure for about 10-15 mins.
Womp womp i got stuck on bush gardens montu and had to be exacuated😂
Go figure, a coaster fails and it is in China. It's the Jurassic Coaster all over again.
Oof for theme park Revolution
That actually did happen to me when I rode Goliath at SF New England back in July 2017 lmao
It was a Chinese Dej......................a Vu.
I got stuck on Deja VU at Six flags over Georgia YEARS ago... Unfortunately, we were facing the ground on the initial vertical lift hill. 2 hours !
1:08 what the hell😂😂
Ive never gotten stuck on a roller coaster
ALL HAIL GIB
Ive been stopped on the Iron Dragon at Cedar Point, as well as Mako at Seaworld Orlando.
Never stuck but I've worked on roller coaster at six flags great adventure and have evacuated multiple rides from being stuck.
I miss when the De Ja Vu was at Six Flags Over Georgia
Yes...Hangman at Opryland circa 1997
if being stuck on the brake run and lift counts then 3 times yes lol
I would not be laughing. But at least it's coming down. This is my worst fear, having to be rescued off a coaster.
Never got stuck myself, but seen one evac and a blocked top spin and defect lift hill on a woodie, and everytime while i was waiting in queue...
I haven’t got stuck on a rollercoaster.
Is Deja Vu the same ride as Boomerang? We have one in my country and it looks almost the same.
There's a ride exactly like this at Silverwood in Idaho (Aftershock) that I got stuck on
Yeah, the people who designed this ride aren't really known for how quality their rides are. There's only 4 of these left and this one actually breaks down and gets stuck the LEAST.
Correction: I forgot that the one at six flags magic mountain closed
🙀
My sister rode a coaster like this at Silverwood and the train right after her got stuck on the looking straight down part
isnt this just yellow aftershock
When u say ur credit count will u say like 958 minutes 1/2
I went on this but the one at silverwood called the aftershock
people say that wasn't a chinese knockoff, but you know what it was?
'"Made in China"
what did you have to do
I got stuck on an Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland
You’ve gotten stuck on this twice
I GOT STUCK ON MANTA AT SEAWORLD
That's just the mid-course so they can run 2 trains
And also I'm CLAUSTROPHOBIC like SHIT! So when I get stuck on rides with the over the shoulder restraints....🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️
Ohhh
i've got stuck on journey to atlantis at seaworld san diego
I got stuck on magnum.
I got stuck on one of dos drop tower waterslides
3-2-1......
This ride is called socks
w-w-w-weee
Lol
Ahhh.... 😱😱🙌🙌 no thanks. Bomeerang roller coaster in china
vekoma...
This guy = goes on about how this coaster is better quality because it's not Chinese-made
Also this guy = Ends up stuck on a coaster he pretty much claimed was perfect
What happens when you trust in inverted boomerang
The Chinese probably heard you talking shit about their coasters and stopped the ride
First.
