Nobody wanted to deal with it because in their eyes it's "not their problem" that the door sticks so OP should make it their problem by calling the fire marshall! Seeing this level of gross negligence at a doctor's office is scary since doctors are the one profession paid to give a damn about the survival of their patients! If their patients are hurt or die because of something as stupid as a doorknob jamming that is career-ending for the practice and any doctor associated with it! The facilities are falling apart and the wait time for *scheduled* appointments is 45 mins? Yeah, I would have gone somewhere else by now and left a bad review on any sight that would let me...

How often do they just ignore people for over an hour because they just don't feel like dealing with them then look at them funny when you're the one who should be pissed. Story 5: I’m a teacher and one of the most annoying parts of my job IS the class clown. In some classes they are loud so it is easy to kick them out when they disturb other students’ learning. However, the worst class clowns are the clever ones. The ones that do annoying things behind the teachers’ backs. We KNOW they are doing something but we can’t catch them. It is SO aggravating. I had this scenario happen where the class clown was whispering AWFUL things so only the six or so classmates around him could hear. While some giggled, another kid snapped. I turned to see one of my most quiet students standing up and yelling “Shut up! Shut the fuck up! You are a horrible person!” Let me tell you, the room went quiet and the class clown looked like a deer in the headlights. I took the quiet student into the hallway and asked what was said. It was sexist, homophobic, just awful. I sent that quiet student to our counselor and then pulled a kid I trusted into the hallway to tell me what they heard. Exact same comments were repeated and I nailed the class clown to the wall. He was OSS for a week. Apparently he thought LGBTQIA jokes were great, he found out quickly that the school administration did not agree nor did our state laws. The worst part, his parents were not complacent. They were grounding him, taking his phone, and more. He just was awful in behavior and being a class clown made him so much worse.

That he hopes she grows distant when she is a teenager like literally every teenager on the planet does. The daughter was being a selfish entitled brat that couldn't stand her dad spending time with other kids so she purposely stopped spending time with him to hurt him but it ended up back firing in her face because the dad realised his step daughter is a better person and more fun to spend time with then his own daughter. They have a known health-&-safety-hazard door and they don't warn the patient, prop it open while the patient is waiting or rush to said patient when they start making it clear they want and/or need to be let out? Absolutely take this to the police. What if you were in medical distress? What if there was a fire in the building and you were TRAPPED by that door? I guarantee you not ONE of the staff members would have paused to think 'oh yeah, this one door that always breaks and can't open from the inside has a patient behind it. better let them out too!' They MIGHT remember once they're outside- MIGHT. And /maybe/ they'd even say something to the emergency responders so you can be rescued. The teachers can be fantastic but have their hands tied by a bunch of BS paperwork that parents and admin put in place barring certain kids from being disciplined in the classroom. “Planned ignoring” is often the first required step in these horribly behaved kids’ discipline plans. And several of my classmates for some reason found that hilarious. I know damn well that if I had done that, nobody would have laughed. But this guy got a pass for some reason.
Some of the "class clowns" I encountered just used the title as an excuse to bully the less popular kids "as a joke".

Last Story: OP needs to get her daughter to apologize for what her daughter said. First she cussed the girl out. Where'd she learned that? Then she said that no one liked the girl. That is cruel and not necessarily true. Her daughter could have said that the girl needed to sit down and pay attention like the rest of the class but she didn't have to add all that extra venom. Also, sounds like the girl has ADHD and needs to be put in a classroom that can handle her outbursts.

Story 3: I have to call out something, there is a legal professor who intentionally uses multiple choice tests, do you know why? Because you can't get partial credit by just writing some BS answer, you HAVE to know the material well to pass the final test. ... "You HAVE to know"?
Why? Literally why would you believe that?
Do tou also believe every Lotto winner can see into the future?
The problem with multiple choice is that the Correct Answer MUST already be on the Test.
And just as much as random people can win the lottery, any kid can get a 100% in multiple choice with 0 knowledge about the topic.
Only if the correct answer ins't available anywhere in the test, including the questions, descriptions and answers of all other questions, THAN a kid MUST know the answer to get 100%

@@Robin93k Do you want to know the reason he did this, because to many students would give 'half right' answers that allowed them to pass the class, but then would fail the bar exam.
He literally switched to this system, particularly for the final exam, because it reduced the students who passed his class on borderline luck, yet it also increased the number of students who would go on to pass the bar exam.
He's teaching future Lawyers/Paralegals, they need to be fully aware there is no bullshitting your way through a question, you have to definitively right if you want to go places.
You are talking about getting a 100%, I am talking about getting enough points to pass. There is a distinct difference.
If you have 10 questions each worth 10 points, and you 5 questions right and 5 questions with partial answers on a written test. You get a C grade. But if you answer questions at random and get 6 questions right on a multiple choice, you get a D grade, which is failing in the US.
Mind you, 70% or above in Britain is an A. So the US has much stricter margins of error for their tests as well. Multiple choice tests in Britain wouldn't work because the passing grade is as low as 40%.(At least from what I can gather)

I feel for the daughter in the last story. When i was in high school i was in color guard (the flags during a marching band performance). We were told to take our rifles home to practice. This is a solid piece of wood wrapped in white tape. You can’t mistake it for a real gun. I was fine all day until i got to spanish class were a kid who routinely bullied me told the teacher i had a gun. She called me to the front i showed it to her and she told me to sit back down. She went back to the hall because teachers were required to be in the hall during passing period. He mouthed under his breath, "I guess she doesn't care if I (him) die." I told hom to shut the f*** up because this was years of dealing with him and the popular crowd. The tracher had just happened to come back in and I got a write up and was sent to the office. On the way to the office I called my mom and while i was talking to the school cop (because cursing in school is punishable by a $500 fine and a citation from the cop) my mom arrived and told them they're lucky it's all I said because these kids had been bullying me for years and no one at the school had done anything. She checked me out and took me for lunch after that. The other kid never got in trouble for anything and i was blamed by the assistant principal because why didn't i take my equipment for a school team to his office until the end of the day.
So no, the mom was in the right and i wouldn't make the kid apologize either.

For the last story, the only thing her daughter did was use profanity, but everyone has their breaking point and it was one curse, so it can be forgiven. Students have a right to a peaceful, nondisrupted education. Story 1: I, ever the skeptic, don’t quite trust OP’s story. I mean, it may be the truth, but to me, it sounds like she left some stuff out to make her sound better/like the victim. She outright admitted that she was jealous that her dad was trying to bond with his stepdaughter (unlike so many stepparents that just treat their stepkids like trash) She hated that there were other people in her dad’s life that he cared about besides her. Now, I do understand to an extent that she would be a bit possessive because he’s the only parent she had left, but it’s not like so many of these other stories where he just ran out and got married 6 months later. So like how long were he and stepmom together before getting married? Were the kids introduced to each other? Where was the stepdaughter’s dad? Was he dead too? Were there times when dad would try and spend time with OP but she rebuffed him because she hated the fact that he had another daughter? Did OP act like a complete brat and even though the dad tried, she wasn’t having any of it? (I mean, was dad supposed to stay single for the rest of his life?) This is all quite possible and remember: we are only getting one side of the story.
And I’m not trying to blame OP for how things went down with her dad. I’m just naturally skeptical anyway. If everything really did happen the way OP described, that really sucks. But I honestly do question her story.
