    8% is 0.08 though. So why are you saying it will grow by 8% and you punch in 1.08%? shouldn't it =D4 * 0.08??? why is it 1.8

      if something grows by 8%, final value is calculated by 1.08%. If you will only do 8% or 0.08 of any value you will calculate 8% of that value and not the increased value. If you are looking to find out the increasED value then it is 100% of initial value + that 8%.

      0.08 means the value is reduced by 8 percent if we multiply 100*0.08= 8 if we want to increase the value we will take as 1.08*100=108
