The MGS4 parody for Baby Park made me wish I could like this video twice. The DuckTales reference at 1:04:06, paired with the joke, made me wish I could like this video ten times.
I honestly did not realize the rock formation shaped like a pizza slice in the background of Cheese Land until I watched this video! Say what you want about some of these tracks, I can't help but appreciate the more subtle little details they put in these courses. My only gripe in terms of detail is mostly aimed at Coconut Mall and Yoshi Circuit. They removed the Miis in the audience, the posters that had Miis on them hanging on the walls when you first drive into the mall, and the Miis driving the cars in the parking lot before the finish line which to me ruined *some* of the nostalgia but it's still a decent enough track. In Yoshi Circuit, they changed the Yoshi-copter into a regular helicopter which to me felt like an unnecessary background change, but despite that it's still pretty fun to race on. And as Chris said, some of the hazards do look out of place in some of the tracks they appear on which I honestly agree with.
Yeah, this is basically as close to the ranking I'd make for every MK8DX track. Although I'll say that I don't hate Bone Dry Desert as much as everyone else and I'd probably rank it higher than Twisted Mansion
Also side note, I think the reason Tokyo Tour sucks so much is that it's made by devs who drive on roadways in Japan every day and let that determine the course experience, instead of the rest of the world who fantatsize Japan because of Video Games and Instagram posts. As someone who lives in Canada, I guarantee you it's nowhere near as enchanting as Vancouver Velocity makes it out to be.
SPOILERS 3DS Rainbow Road is peak, I don’t know if it’s my personal favorite but It’s at least top 10 and I don’t blame anyone who puts it at number one. Great video as always👍
