@@WanderlustReports Actually 2 have died now. Petty Officer Beirut Pakbara, a Thai Navy Seal, contracted a blood infection during the rescue at Tham Luang cave. Beirut was under medical supervision but his condition worsened and he died in December 2019.
One of the older boys from the cave, the one who spoke English and translated for the rescuers, is now attending high school in upstate New York, staying with a host family. He has 100K followers on Instagram.
Sadly one of them passed away. He got a football (soccer) scholarship in the UK which was his dream. But had some kind of ongoing medical issue and died suddenly. Was not ruled as suspicious. 🇬🇧❤
This is your best vid ever including the petrol dance !!! Thanks for letting us live vicariously through your videos until we can soon travel to this wonderful country. The views are spectacular and visiting the cave was a great reminder of such a heroic feat that we held our breaths every day wanting and hoping for a good outcome that seemed so impossible and unlikely!
Holy crap! This video has only made us want to visit Chiang Rai even more than we already do 😳 We still get amazed at just how green Thailand is, but this is on a whole other level. And those epic shots of the clouds rolling in? COME ON! Amazing.
Traveling in north eastern thailand myself right now, and I agree with you, it has some of the most amazing scenery! And the quality and quantity of roads in thailand is fantastic
Endless praise to Paddy Doyle for his beautiful sense of fairness! He focus on the goodness, highest civility and sweetness of the Thai people and the top quality of infrastructure and services in amazing Thailand - truly a 1st World country with 3rd world salaries. Paddy Doyle and Thailand. What a team! And what a channel too!
Ohhh wow such heavenly views !!! The way those clouds rolled in to envelope right where you stood.. incredible !!! As was your disco fuel pump so fun I was laughing and wowing so much in this blog Paddy... So thankful I've found your channel 🙏🙏♥️♥️
I was up in that area when the rescue happened. It was buzzing with excitement. People glued to the television like they were when man landed on the moon. Thanks for taking the scenic routes, opened my eyes to other parts I have yet to see. Those Honda Cubs looked sick. 🧘🏻❤️☮️
Awesome video mate, this one had it all. Probs my fav of yours so far on this journey. Your skills with all aspects of content creation is truly fantastic... but to be honest, the gas rave was the highlight - fully cracked me up! Thanks for doing these vids. 😃
That was epic Paddy! Drone shot was gorgeous with Great music, your dance at the gas station was awesome and thanks so much for sharing this wonderful video 🙏 Your content keeps getting better & better all the time! Keep it up….your vlog is definitely next Level 🥳

Lake Louise has water of that colour, but it's from glacier runoff, I think. Great video, great music. That cave rescue story was so amazing. I feared the worst for the boys, but my Thai wife refused to give up hope. Thanks to all the volunteers who rescued them, the Thai Navy SEAL who sacrificed everything for them. Thanks so much as always for sharing this video.
Your Thai wife is one of those people who uplift this world. People with utmost optimism, hopes, faith and dreams. And these qualities too make the 13 boys alive after 17 days!!!

We really enjoyed the movie “The Cave” about the rescue. Many of the people involved played themselves in the movie. It was incredible how they brought the boys out one by one.
Thank you for this video. I have just recently discovered your channel and now watching to catch up. Seeing inside the cave where the boys were trapped reminded me of the miracle that they were alive and rescued by the brave men. Prayers for the diver that lost his life. The area around there is just beautiful and a true paradise. Wasn’t expecting music and your dance at a gas pump lol. Awesome!
This was my favourite video yet, something about the way you made this video made me really wanna be there. And how amazing were those views with the clouds pouring into the valley. Perfect ending to a video about the Tham Luang cave rescue. Oh and that epic dance made my poorly self smile at 4:30am so thank you Paddy 👍🏼🍻
One of my favorite scenes was the shot of regular Thai folks at the long table overlooking the view, they were chatting and laughing drinking wine. Such a great peak into day to day life.
This is the first clip I opened. I search Phetchaburi but came across you. I watched your clip until the end and followed you successfully. I thank you for liking my Thailand. Thailand has a lot of beautiful places to visit. Thank you.❤️
Hello Paddy! I love how you enjoy exploring the province alone and living your life. I’m from Chiang Rai but you’ve been to more Chiang Rai than I will ever be! Ride safe and cheers!
Another great one Paddy. And all of us still counting. Thank you so much for all your effort. We all love it. And then, now we have new places wish list in our pocket😉😉

I remember the boys and cave like yesterday. sad that that one diver died. Nice video Paddy. Don't forget you promised me a coffee video. 5555
RIP indeed. Incredible efforts to save the boys, sad to lose heroes as well. Regarding the bikes, Dreamy look like she was blushing. Beautiful new bikes, but your adventure would not be the same without the vintage veteran that Dreamy is! Chiang Rai looks gorgeous.... Oh, you dancing, filling up Dreamy with fuel.... will not erase for some time.... 😂😂
There was a recent US news story about one of the boys that was rescued, who could speak English with the man who finally found them (who spoke English), and he just graduated from some school/college (can't remember which one) who was given a scholarship in the US. Some representative of the school was so impressed by him in the news that they offered a scholarship for him to come to the US. Cool story. Amazing young man. I think it's really nice that they created such a great memorial to the rescue. Thanks so much for sharing that.
Remember the story well. Never thought they would get the kids out alive. Only the amazing work of the rescue teams saved them. Such beautiful views again. A must see. 🙏🙏
Go up to Doi Chang. Drive past the Doi Chang coffee farm and head leftwards on the ridgeline road and look for Sirinya Coffee. Coffee with an epic view. Doi Chang is accessible via Highway 118 on the way down towards Chiang Mai. You turn right at Ban Tin Doi (opposite side of the road) at around the 25km marker to go up Doi Chang. If you find yourself driving past a prominent T-junction that turns right into Highway 109 towards Fang city, that means you have missed the turn off into the road that leads you up Doi Chang. You will have to round back at the said T-junction and go back towards Chiang Rai. This time, the turn off at Ban Tin Doi will be off your left shoulder and is not more than five hundred metres after rounding back at the T-junction.
I'll have to check to see if Paddy braves the road from Fang to Doi Ankhang. My missus nearly had a seizure there. That road Paddy traveled behind Tam Luang cave is rough too - the boss made me turn back. :)
