I got online with a live agent from discovery trying to figure this out and what they told me was they could not find any programming for this but what they could do is write a ticket so they could make season six available underneath a streaming platformas soon as possible so I got a feeling it’s a way to get the fans to spend more money in Stream discovery plus and not watch it on normal TV channels

If you remember back to early 2000's it was all about the speed channel then it went to spike then discovery, and Motor trend. Now it seems like both motor trend and discovery are falling apart. There is going to to be another shift as far as anything car building or racing is concerned With the recent deaths of a couple racers the Insurance companies are probably telling discovery to drop these shows or we cancel your insurance.

Ok get this… my employer has is a corporate sponsor for our local track (UR), and has a tower suite. As an employee, I do get Fri/Sat tickets along with preferred parking. My first trip went great… free entry, great parking and a good show. The next year, however, showed just how GREEDY Discovery channel is… I got gate passes for both days but no preferred parking… oh well no biggie I’m happy for the free tix. I get inside and notice that they (Discovery) have had 95% of the “free” general seating bleachers TAKEN DOWN!!. I’ve gone to this track for 40 years and this was the first time those bleachers had been moved/removed. Buutt… you could pay a “premium” price and sit in the “ V I P” section on the other side of the track. Or you could pay their $79.00 to stand on the starting line with 150 drunks… Discovery is all about the $ folks, fu&k the sport, the drivers, the spectators… I watch NOTHING Discovery folks… especially that Mud Madness BS…
This has to do with the death of ryan during fastest in America. The lawsuit his family filed against discovery and pilgram studios. The nhra has wanted this stopped since day one going as far as threatening drivers with raceing license revoked if they continued on the streets.

Or pay 3 guys 5k to film other guys in mud and they dont havr to fork out for tracks or anything. Warnerbros hasnt done anything relevant. They are going to drove discovery into the mud with them. Looks like nothing more than a traveling circus going forward. It's sounding like there will be no more filming which leads me to believe sponsors will be dropping out from the lack of TV exposure, and I can't imagine History Channel will be signing big checks for the racers either. I'm afraid it looks like a lot of people spent a lot of money and committed to racing in this series thinking it would keep going, but it's not looking good. Racing is a dangerous sport, people get hurt, people die, I think a few legal hurtles has Discovery rethinking their decision to promote this type of racing on their channel anymore. That's just my opinion anyway, could be any number of reasons. Now I'm gonna get back in the shop and see if I can finish the next car before season 9..........
The 405 show and NPK will not be on Discovery anymore. Watch Jeff Lutz RUclips channel. He cleaned out his OKC shop and moved back to PA. Shawn is putting out a huge amount of RUclips content. He is building a burnout truck for more content. The shows are over and people like Shawn with a big RUclips channel is already looking for ways to make new content like doing the burnout competition at Cleetus and cars and the freedom factory. If you watch the Jeff Lutz video where he is clearing out his shop on OKC he almost lets it slip. If they was going to film more 405 shows then why would Jeff move his shop back to PA?? They had a good run. But I believe the TV show from Discovery is over. I think NPK will stay a series, because of the people it brought to the tracks. But they will not be paying these guys to race. And without tv money they can’t afford a semi, stacker trailer, race car, motors, transmissions, a crew. Not for a chance at $40k. NPK will be old boys like me racing a 600hp car for a $5k purse at a local track. This is my opinion. Pilgrim May be trying to sell the show to another network. But that’s a lot of money for a tv show that’s a decade old.

Racing is a dangerous sport, people get hurt, people die, I think a few legal hurtles has Discovery rethinking their decision to promote this type of racing on their channel anymore. That's just my opinion anyway, could be any number of reasons. Now I'm gonna get back in the shop and see if I can finish the next car before season 9..........

The 405 show and NPK will not be on Discovery anymore. Watch Jeff Lutz RUclips channel. He cleaned out his OKC shop and moved back to PA. Shawn is putting out a huge amount of RUclips content. He is building a burnout truck for more content. The shows are over and people like Shawn with a big RUclips channel is already looking for ways to make new content like doing the burnout competition at Cleetus and cars and the freedom factory. If you watch the Jeff Lutz video where he is clearing out his shop on OKC he almost lets it slip. If they was going to film more 405 shows then why would Jeff move his shop back to PA?? They had a good run. But I believe the TV show from Discovery is over. I think NPK will stay a series, because of the people it brought to the tracks. But they will not be paying these guys to race. And without tv money they can’t afford a semi, stacker trailer, race car, motors, transmissions, a crew. Not for a chance at $40k. NPK will be old boys like me racing a 600hp car for a $5k purse at a local track. This is my opinion. Pilgrim May be trying to sell the show to another network. But that’s a lot of money for a tv show that’s a decade old.

I said thecsame thing last year and everyone had an excuse for the lack of attendance. Without the stands packed like it was on day one you could see the writing on the wall.
