Agree, I just can't watch HM1 speedruns because it all becomes taking a shield and dragging him back to the car. This is simply someone dabbing hard on every enemy faction, while probably wearing thr Brandon mask IRL

So does the speedrun not need to include the actual begining with midnight animal? theres a prelude before the first scene that he skipped and its totally a playable portion of the game that you can die during and everything. Just doesnt seem like a legit speedrun since he skipped part of the game.

I guess I’m THAT guy but it probably takes way longer than a few hours to learn the level and practice enough to be able to do it that well
after hardmode, S on dead ahead normal was pretty easy
Dead Ahead isn’t too bad! I dislike Blood Money and Take Over way more.
I'm sure he spent a long time learning the most effective shortcuts and strategies, more than just a few hours. It's a world record after all.

You can ask any mods on speedrun.com, none of them will tell you it's necessary to do Midnight Animal on any% ng+
