Would love to see a demonstration of how to get in there and access the heating element and other components. I can _see_ it with the front bottom panel removed, but I can't reach it with tools from there. I tried removing the side panel, but that seems to be a structural part, holding up the top. Is there a way to do this without completely disassembling the dryer or having it collapse on me? It's tripping the breaker, so I expect a short and want to check the heating element, but at this point I can't begin diagnosing it.
Thanks for watching. We are currently finishing up a series on Refrigerator troublshooting and will be filming dish washers next before filming washers and dryers. It will be a while before we have detailed tutorials on how to access the dryer parts in the same quality as this series: ruclips.net/p/PLCo9SMjkdWBysYYCcg5xQLiVh_cW0JQvt
I just did all the continuity checks on my heating element and this is the only one not getting any continuity. I guess I'll be needing a replacement heating element. My part model # is 510329 for my alliance electric dryer model ADE3SRGS175TW01. The other parts such as the thermostat and the high limit fuse all checked out fine so I am assuming I just need the main heating element and I can attach the working parts to the new element? If anyone reads these comments, I could use a little help. Your video was the one that finally showed me what the problem was so I'm glad I found it! Thanks
Hi Rachel, thank you for watching! If the heating element doesn't have continuity, then it will need to be replaced. Considering that the thermostat and fuse all tested good, then it helped eliminate any potential issues. As of this moment, we don't have a complete series of videos showing dryer repairs yet but we will in the future. We're glad that this video still helped you narrow down the problem! The heating element is in stock and can be ordered here: www.amresupply.com/part/15383287?replaces=Y503978%2C+510329P
@@AmreSupply Thankyou! I ended up ordering a new heating element on amazon and was able to just take the working parts from the old one and put them on the new one and put it back in. And it works! Better than before. It turns out that there was an actual break in the coil of the old one. Anyway, thanks for the video because I'm sure I would've had to call someone to fix it otherwise, costing me alot more $! And I felt pretty badass fixing it myself😊💪
