I LOVE when I hear that parents let their kids like the toys they like, especially when it is boys getting to have dolls because that has such stigma. You are an AWESOME mother.
Word of advice....from my experience (my daughter not my son or non binary) but when he decides he has grown out of them and wants to give them away...take them and keep all, or some of them.
I kept a.box of my daughter's monster high dolls and after six months she found out I had kept them and asked me where they were. Then snuck and took some out to play with.

For the price of these toys they NEED better quality control. The fact people defend the brand because their personal sets where fine is just helping the company get away with this. And YOU SHOULDN’T BE CONSIDERED “LUCKY” TO GET AN ACTUAL FUNCTIONING SET THAT YOU’RE SPENDING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON THAT SHOULD BE WORKING ANYWAYS.

@@Imandistar While Mattels quality is garbage and cheap, theres still no excuse for MGA to have poor quality control especially on expensive sets like these. Both have problems; it's not a competition for who has it worse. I just got into collecting LOL dolls and I only have three so far because I've had to return 10 dolls! Varying from Gamma babe, Starlette Fly Gurl, Sunshine girl, etc because they all had damaged faces/bodies. It's ridiculous.

I really appreciate this line’s diversity, the quality of their clothing is AMAZING and it blows me away, I haven’t seen this level of detail on dolls since 2010. The quality control may not be the best but I’m sure this set is totally worth it
The set I brought had a plain skirt on bhad and her neck was odd but otherwise the others were top quality

It legit makes me sad to see people in the comments defending the brand like it’s a beloved family member attacked for no reason and not a big corporation putting out products to be bought. Why should Jen feel bad for pointing out whatever flaw the product she bought came with? Just so you know, brand loyalty only benefits the brand, never the consumer.

The worst part for me is, personally, I totally wanted this set. It reminded me of monster high dolls I grew up with, and outfits I used to make up for characters my friends and I made that we would only draw once because they were so complicated. I was totally gonna wait until I could get it on sale somewhere for less than 100+ dollars so I could have not only the dolls to display but also the rest of the stuff inside.
But after seeing the quality, I might just see if I can find the dolls used by themselves. Even with messed up hair or without clothing would be better than paying for this even at a discount. Especially if half the clothing items don't fit, are falling apart, or missing as some commenters have said.
They actually go on sale quite often, I’ve seen them at my Walmart for 60$, and if your worried about quality u can email MGA and they can send u a free one
you can also now get them separately and much MUCH cheaper

I like omg's diversity, their quality may be not the greatest some time, but they have things like prosthetics, different skin tones, hair color, eye colors, not to mention their clothes. This is like the only reason I would consider buying them😐

I got this set for $19.00 from walmart I could not imagine it being on sale though without a flaw, however nothing was wrong in my set all joints worked, all dolls came with everything and overall everything worked. I'm glad your sharing your true opinion on this Jen because I like how you just tell the staright up truth about your set.

Another thing is that with Bad Gurls skirt her skirt is supposed to be a little higher up and that is why it was not connecting fully because it was not made to be wrapped around her thigh

This channel has comments, nearly always. She reviews the toys for parents and collectors here. The great big toy box is back and its comments are still disabled.
@@thisbeem2714 I've been a viewer for over a year now, I know how this channel works, but until recently the comments were also sometimes/usually disabled on the NexJen channel, atleast the videos I watched and as you can see with how recent the comments here are, despite the age of the video, they were disabled on here too.
It's a real review and I love it! She is showing the reality of unboxing. Some Lol Surprise! aren't perfect, just a fact.

It just seems like for the price of this doll pack, there will be NO mistakes, like, QC twice, then one more time before everything is sealed up and shipped off. Wow
When I got this for X-mas, there was only 3 problems I occurred! :) The first issue was that Goo Goo Queen’s face paint was atrocious! I haven’t taken off her glasses that she comes with since.. The second problem was Baddie’s right leg was stiff, and the final problem was Fame Queens gold neck dice thing broke off when I shifted it a little.. keep in mind, I’m young AND I’m so hecking weak lol but yeah that kinda sucks.. At least I didn’t have it as bad as you tho xD

the design and details on these dolls is amazing, i love these characters and their outfits. it all looks high end so i really don't understand why they don't properly quality check their products before packaging

Ferocious is actually based on Janet Jackson/Michael Jackson! It makes more sense considering the 80’s/90’s style.
I actually have ADHD, which means I tend to lose patience when the video takes too long to reach a certain point. However, the way you show and explain each thing you unbox gets my attention in a way I end up going through the whole hour and leven minutes without noticing.
I don't know how you do it, but you do it perfectly.
First of all, LOVE the 💅 (very appropriate for the occasion)! Secondly, i agree with you ! If i pay that much for something, i expect a certain level of quality, those were some serious issues and you took it like a champ, i wouldn't have been that calm about it ! MGA is making a huge success off these particular dolls, it is making a lot of money, i at least expect the clothes to fit the dolls - or WHAT'S THE POINT ?! Any way, i feel bad your dolls had issues ! I haven't even checked mines yet ... Thanks for the awesome video ❤👍

@@NexJenYeah, i noticed you didn't make any comments about your nails matching the dolls, so i figured i would just put it out there ! I still don't know if these dolls do, but i had issues with other dolls and i don't like that. I have sent back a couple, now i don't even bother anymore ! Flyer gurl arrived with her stuff loose in the box ( a sealed, brand new box )... I'll just try to fix it because i like to keep all my dolls in the box 😉. Problem is i really like the LOL OMG dolls ! 😘
These girls are on sale today when i'm writing this for $60 USD on amazon. Which is the only price i'd consider these at, since I think $15 a doll (not counting the little sisters) even with iffy quality control is a fantastic deal.

With Metal Chick I think her name is, black and hot pink hair one, the full-sized version - about her collar not being sewn on to the black fabric: I was amazed to see that on yours, because mine had the exact same problem, not stitched there at all! At first I wondered if it meant that it was supposed to fall off the shoulder but there wasn't enough space and I don't think it matched the picture either. So it must have been difficult to sew it or perhaps someone skipped work that day lol
I got the omg glamper for my bday a few days ago. I was very excited about it...however my front part that detached would not go back in after I took it out to play with it as I should. Omg has slipped up on there products and are selling them to you at very high prices for the ok quality your getting. One the front of the omg glamper box it showed the doll with shoes that where very cute sadly it did not come with any. Also I got a omg doll with chains for straps witch where very cute however it broke within seconds. I still buy the product hoping that it is ok I’ve come across some minor paint chipping and other problems sometimes I even come across no problems but when a kid that’s 3-12 Opens a toy they expect it to be good.When I was younger I know I was disappointed 😢 when I got a broken toy.I hope MGA will step up there game and start selling better quality. I still want this toy because knowing I’m opening something that will keep me entertained for hours is the fun part of it. Not the quality but using my imagination always makes it a little more fun 🤩.

So, if you have the upc code and some other number (Can't remember what it's called, batch number, maybe) you can go onto the MGA site and explain the problem. Sometimes you have to upload pictures.
I did that because I got the wrong type of stand for the snow globe snowman thing. (Got the doll stand but got an animal for the top globe.)
I filled out their form, not expecting much. Got no reply but about 2 weeks later I got a package with the correct stand in it.
Sidenote. They do suggest you keep the packaging with the upc code and find the batch number...(or whatever that 2nd number is called) because....they admit that the quality control isn't great.
This process is a PITA. But, for the glamour it might be worth it.

The OMG doll (Fame Queen) that is dressed like Madonna was totally busted in the case we bought. Her bionic left elbow was glued and wouldn't bend- it broke when I (an adult) gently tried to dress her. Then the tiny joint on her right hand snapped when I tried to dress her by taking the hands off.. The whole doll was very messed up and made poorly. . I bought a new case at Walmart and returned the destroyed, busted one. K was very annoyed.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I have personally experienced the built up excitement my kids go through when opening something new and exciting, only to be completely let down with the actual quality. It's so unfortunate and upsetting especially if the products was meant to be an anticipated gift. I'm glad you were able to return it for... Hopefully a better quality case.
@@NexJen It's so nice to hear from you in your comments; I know many people find their favorite youtubers to be like "accessible celebrities" - and that's part of the appeal, but it's nuts to me, because for as long as I've been watching your videos, as well as Melissa (of My world) because I have always been a creative crafter - and became a bit obsessed with collecting vintage toys and dolls in my adulthood; like you, I have sensory issues - and like Melissa, I have chronic health problems (and a son named Kaedin!)- but it overjoys me to know that there are other people so much like myself that are out in this world, doing their thing and enjoying these same hobbies.
Just last night, I was watching your huge Polly Pocket video- and my husband overheard the video and rolled his eyes (lovingly) joking "so it's NOT just you. There are a whole bunch of you crazy women collecting toys and convincing your husbands to drive halfway across the world to buy your crazy finds!" (Most recently - our family road tripped from our home near Philadelphia to Kentucky to pick up an awesome retail Lego display piece of furniture - it was a three day trip, all just to pick up a several hundred dollar Lego thing I just HAD to have.
Anyway - I have every single product LOL Surprise has ever made, because I've spent the last few years working on an app for adult toy collectors- and I decided to start with LOL/OMG toys, and I'll eventually create other apps about other collectible toys as well. Hopefully, someday, I'll be able to ask you to review the app. I'm looking forward to launching a RUclips channel of my own, as we're just about to move my insane toy collection to a 3600 sq foot building because we got tired of having five storage units!
Anywho- sorry for being long winded- I'm always thrilled to see your reviews and videos because it truly feels like I'm watching a trusted person who's opinions I can believe. I always appreciate your intricacies and the fact that you don't hide from those things on camera (personally, I'm terrified of cotton balls and have a bunch of sensory issues that affect me in various ways, it's both comforting and also sad to know someone else is out here dealing with so many of the same problems (wouldn't wish them on anyone of course!).

I’m a huge lol surprise fan and I love the omg/tween dolls and I’ve collected a good amount what I can take from it is the bigger boxes seem to have worse quality control then the single dolls I’ve been collecting since 2018 and I’ve only had 2 problems with the products I got the lol winter disco bigger surprise and I was missing a shoe and then I got 2 right shoes with another doll I’m really sorry to see all these issues but again I’d say the more mass produced products during the holidays season seem to be worse and it’s unfortunate but I blame it on the time of year all the other times it’s been fine to my knowledge

In this collection I only have fame queen because she's one of my Fav lol omg dolls ever, but I have to say that because of that big jacket and of that non-fitting skirt, I was kind of underwhelmed by her. Although I absolutely love her, I just know I will not buy other dolls from this collection because it's just too much. Like even though I love all of them I don't see myself struggling again with them. I might buy metal chick because she's "only" 34€ on Amazon France but that's probably gonna be it. I'm going to look for other lol omg dolls because they seem less over-accessorized.
