Even on WGN you could see a game maybe once a week for the past several years. Plus I can’t believe your father doesn’t have Cable, all old people have Cable.
It's a shame that Imanaga could not go the distance, but he did throw 95 pitches. Pitchers today aren't taught how to limit their pitch counts and go the distance -- or how to pitch the third and fourth time through a lineup. The complete game no-hitter may be a thing of the past, or at least extremely rare. Last night, Arizona's Zac Gallen went only 6 innings with a no-hitter, but he threw 100 pitches, and his bullpen would give up 4 runs on 4 hits -- although he did win that game. I was in Pittsburgh last week for that series. I am glad that the Pirates' revenge fell a game short. The Cubs are still 4.5 games out of the final wild card slot.
@@steveperry3572 I's not pitch counts that bother me. It's that starters today are told they are expected to go 4-6 innings, so they get sloppy and throw too many pitches. Controlling your pitch count is a lost art.
um, you should maybe look the info in the title up. it's real wrong, but I'll let you find that out for yourself. In fact I believe the same pitcher threw 2 in the same year.
@@supere13NO MOREL was NOT. He is terrible right now with Tampa. This trade was for the best. Parades is known for his offense and can help score in base runners.
bullshit title. the entire achievement surrounding a no hitter is that one pitcher was able to throw a complete game and allow zero hits. Stop calling them no hitters
It is a no hitter for the Cubs. The team didn’t give up a hit, it’s a team combined no hitter. Not that hard to comprehend really. Plus those are more rare than individual no hitters.
I love Shota
Shota pitching, Cubs bats swinging was a pleasure to watch.
Go cubs 💙
GO CUBS GO! GREAT SHOW!!
PCA is on his way for a great career. The Cubs were patiently waiting for this.
Let’s go Cubs
I miss Cubs baseball so much. I wish my elderly father and I could still watch. That was taken from us when you went to cable.
they aren't on cable lol
I agree. When it was on WGN it was so great, so many memories.

Three errors and he's unphased. What a class act.

You can blame Sparky Anderson. He started the pitch count for pitchers.

Lol
Camera man at 10:03 knows what he is doing 😅 🐫
So the play at 1st in the 1st inning was scored as an E? Because I saw a hit.
Ok. It was. And wth is up with the 3rd baseman???

Learned something new today... Errors cancel out hits. Doesn't make sence, but I'll take a "no hitter"

correct me if I am wrong, but I think Domingo German is the only guy to throw a No Hitter and be the losing pitcher in a no hitter
I maybe wrong, but I think Andy Hawkins lost the game throwing a no hitter for the Yankees in the 90’s.
If Lopez had pitched, the Cubs would have lost 12-13...
um, you should maybe look the info in the title up. it's real wrong, but I'll let you find that out for yourself. In fact I believe the same pitcher threw 2 in the same year.
The information is correct because both of Jake Arrieta’s no hitters were thrown while they were on the road
Get Parades outta there
morel was better
Patrick Wisdom would do
