The bootmgr in Windows Vista SP2 on my guest machine is uncompressed. After installing an activator to activate Windows Vista SP2, it not triggers the error that this bootmgr file is compressed. Why is this happening?

I unticked it cus it was ticked but how do I know how long I have to wait for it to uncompress cus there’s no loading indicator or anything
Sorry for late response, but this answer will help others too.
You can know when the process completed, once the PC return to responding, because the PC will freeze during uncompressing process.

You have to wait for uncompressing to complete, otherwise, you may encounter the same or new problem with next start-up.
After completing the uncompressing process, the PC will not continue uncompressing on the next restart.

How to fix
Make sure to enable the USB boot and to disable secure boot from BIOS settings if available.
Also make sure the Bootable USB is created correctly.

My notebook is HP PAVILION, was Vista, but I was using windows 7. On BOOT MENU I choose USB HARD DRIVE in first, then I press F10 to save and exit, and nothing happens. My pendrive is sandisk Cruze blade 8GB, I did the bootable how you show using Etchdroid. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

What if i click Windows install instead of repair option? After clicking on repair option I'm getting a blue screen with a troubleshoot option.
Close the installation dialogue and try again.

You can install windows 10 from the installation drive, but keeping or loosing your files is depend on the partition where your files saved.

When I click usb storage it says remove disks or other media. What will I do?
Remove any connected drive and restart the computer.
If you are trying to boot from a USB or DVD, then make sure they are created correctly to boot from it.

If you change your SATA connector or any of the hard drive data transfer connector. bring it back like before. do not need format or repair

The video did not tell you to just see the pen drive, you have to boot from it, then change disk properties.

Change these settings in BIOS:
- If you have secure boot option, disable it
- If you have USB boot option, enable it
